Has anyone had internal/external hemroid ligation performed? Is the procedure/recovery painful? Please tell me about your experience as I am considering having it performed on mine.
Thanks!

I had it done.
Depends if its lower down on the rectum or not.
But its not bad at all. Defending not even close to having a needle or anything like that. You're feel a surge of pressure right away which will continue for a few hours.
After about 3 days everything will fall off.

I am curious about this as well. Have internals that prolapse regularly, have been dealing with them for a looooonnnng time now. I know that fear and embarrassment has kept me from dealing with them, and wondering if this is a highly effective treatment or not. Seems like everything else deals with fairly extreme surgery and some discouraging horror stores of post-op issues, or with the new "PPH" procedure, which I would have to drive 250miles to have performed. Is ligation a permanent fix?
