I have recently had anal sex with a partner and the morning after I experienced a sort of discomfort in my bum which has lasted nearly 2 days now. Does anyone know if anal sex can cause piles? I had two bouts of piles last year and thought maybe this might be a third.

Anal sex can cause tears in the rectum and that may be why you're in pain. Piles are more a result of weakened vessel walls that cause bulging. Try eating only soft foods and drinking lots of liquids for a few days - it may help. Hope you feel better.
