HELP I have had no voice at all for four days. First I had a bit of a sore throat and the next day NO voice. Now it's in my chest and my nose is plugged beyond belief. I started Zithromax three days ago and still feel the same.
Anyone know of a way to get the voice back? My kids are loving it but I'm not

eat ice-cream! my mum always fed me ice-cream when i was little and i still swear by it - helps to get a bit of sugar inside you too. it'll make you feel more alive if anything!

As much as I like ice cream, and as much as I LOVE the advice to eat it for whatever ails you, I'd stay away from it for a bit. Milk products tend to produce mucous. You said you very plugged; you don't need more mucous.
Glad to hear you are on Zith; that'll help. To address the stuffiness problem, you might want to try nasal lavage (rinsing out your sinuses). You can buy a product call SinuCleanse at many drugstores, cost about $15. This site: www.sinuclease.com tells you how to use it (the site has a video that is helpful). I swear by SinuCleanse. At the risk of sounding like a commercial, it's a natural way to clean out your sinuses. The neti pot (which is what SinuCleanse is) has been around for centuries.
I don't know if it will bring your voice back, but I do know you'll feel better.
