I am a 22/male. I have had the same girlfriend for over a year now and im a little worried.

I get cold sores from time to time but havent had them in over 2 years. My girlfriend gets some acne on her face and a few bumps...like on her chin but not on the edges of her mouth.

A few weeks ago we had sex all night long. My penis and testicles were very tender and sore for a week or so, and we didnt have sex for a while because of it. Over the past 3 weeks my scrotum has still been tender and my testicales are sensitive and feel like I sat on them wrong and hurt just a little bit. My scrotum is also a little itchy from time to time.

Exams and 2 jobs were very rough on me and my bathing habits were not top notch for a couple of weeks so im wondering if a rash ..some sort of jock itch is what im experiencing.

I had one little sac filled with pus in it but saw a doctor and he said it was an ingrown hair. this happened before the slight itching and sensitive testicles.

If this is herpes, wouldnt I have seen more than one bump or of had some otehr kind of symptoms? ALl ive had is sensitive testicles and a slight itching of my scrotum. It tends to go away when I sleep but after I wake up and get moving it comes back slowly.

If you have any ideas please help im really worried and would be petrified if I have herpes or some other sort of STD. My girlfriend was tested over the summer and came up clean of everything and im sure she has been faithfull. Before her I only had sex with one other girl over a year before.

Does this sound like herpes? or any other type of disease/std?

thanks alot!

Well, I hope a male can jump on here and write.. As I'm a woman, I'm not familiar with sensitive testicles. However, with everything you're describing, it doesn't really sound like herpes to me. When I've ever had an outbreak, its been a small blister or sore. It can be a cluster of them.. Before you see a sore though, you might have felt some tingling/odd sensation on your penis or testes.. maybe even your inner thigh or butt cheek..

HSV is very sneaky..but its hard to miss an outbreak as an outbreak. Like I said, sore "parts" in general doesn't sound like H... nor does general itching mean herpes..

I don't mean to give false hope or false worry... as I said - it can be very sneaky and people's outbreaks are different in severity from light to really bad. Usually the first one is unmistakeable.

If youve been sore for 3 weeks, I'd go have a blood panel or std screen, just for good measure. It doesn't sound like herpes, but I'd check other options.

doesnt sound to much like herpes to me either. Have you been doing anykind of activity that maybe you might have twisted something down there? I honestly would just get to the doc and tell him all of your symptoms and concerns and take it from there. As philly said, hopefully a dude will chime in on this post but in all reality, none of us can diagnose you over the internet.

Herpes can come in all shapes and sizes hun, and while I don't think what you are describing sounds like herpes, no one here can say that for sure. Get to the doctor, you will feel much better about it all when you know the truth. Your just going to drive yourself crazy over it and get no where.

Good luck and keep us posted.

yes i am driving my self nuts ...alot of sites ive seen have told me if i have sensitive testicles i should see a doc right away to make sure nothign is malfunctiioning b/c that could be REALLY bad. girlfriend will just have to wait a while im going to see the doctor tomorrow.

i do have a light sensation/burning down there but its been going for 2-3 weeks at the same rate, and again it subsides at night and picks up when im active.

could I get a urinary track infection from having rough/hard sex consecutive nights in a row for hours at a time?

anymore input would be great im going to see if i cant get into the doctor for a std/hiv check tomorrow. are there any other test I should tell them to run in this ball field when I call so my doctor can be ready before hand?

thanks again ladies and gents ...ill for sure post my results incase anyone else has similar dealings.

Heck yeah, you can get lots of maladies (all curable) with rough sex, consecutive nights! Wish a guy would chime in... dang.

I know I have gotten UTIs, yeast infections, vaginitis, etc.. with that kind of activity! I've also heard it called Honeymooners "disease". LOL
(its been a long time, but I remember! ha.. okay.. before last Friday, I remember - if you saw my other ((1st)) post on this board)

Glad you're going to get it checked out. Probably, you'll just need some antibiotics or something..

Is your girlfriend itching or anything too? It doesn't sound like typical herpes symptoms. I just asked my BF if he ever had sore/sensitive testicles or itching and he said no. To me it sounds more like what another poster said, yeast or bacterial infection. Anal sex is a good way to cause a bacterial infection, you certainly have to be careful not to spread those germs around when you do it! Never go from anal to vaginal without first washing throughly. But it's easy for a woman to get a bacterial infection...of course some women always are having yeast infections and both can be spread to our men during sex. That's why I asked if she is itching. Keep an eye on the sore though because it's not uncommon for a doctor to dismiss a herpes lesion as nothing! Herpes lesions don't have a head on them...the just usually ooze clear puss. My BF's herpes lesions look like a raised red patch about the size of half a dime and upon closer inspection with a magnifying glass you can see tiny almost blisters in it.

Oh and a warning! Be very careful not to have oral sex when you have a cold sore! You can spread it to your GF's genitals and give her genital herpes.
