Hello,
A few days ago (about 3 I think) I decided to check my genital area as I had been itchy for a while and have suffered from thrush before (I had no idea of the symptoms then) when I previously had thrush it remained undetected because no one expained to me that the discharge occurs primarily on the genitals, therefore the thrush developed in to pelvic inflamortory disease.
So I inspected my gentals three days ago and found that (sorry don't know particular name so I am gonna be a bit crude) my pee hole and intercourse hole and the inside of the vaginal lips were covered in white discharge. My reaction to this was to use canestan combi (thrush treatment) and I have noticed some improvement but my pee whole and surrounding area still seem to be covered in the damn white discharged and my pee hole is very itchy, the discharge seems also to be in my pee hole. I was given the canestan creme but have only use it a few times over the last few days to treat the outside areas of the genitals, I have also been cautious about rubbing it over my pee hole incase this courses a urinary tract infection.
Tonight I wanted to check the area for progress and I discovered three spots, two of similar size and one smaller one on my pubic hair area. Its hard to tell you the colour of them but I can tell you that when I tried to pop one to see if it was a spot no puss came out only blood. Furthermore it is now a few hours since I popped the spot and it has not scabbed over it just appears as a red hole.
Today I have been having sweats, hot and cold flushes and have generally felt quite weak
I should mention that recently I suffered with headlice, as did my boyfriend, before we discovered that we both had headlice, he gave me oral sex and since I know where the headlice came from I also know when I got it which was a few days prior to us having oral sex. Is it possible I could have nits in my pubic hair that has come from my boyfriend giving me oral sex? If this is not the case then can any kind person tell me whats going on?

It sounds like to me that you have a variety of things going on. Bottom line is that you need to visit the Gynocologist and have him check your symptoms for perhaps some underlying condition. You said before that when you had a yeast infection that it developed into PID. I wouldnt delay on symptoms that are not improving with treatment. Perhaps you may need a stronger type of antifungal treatment. And if u have some pubic lice, you definately want to shave all your pubic hair off. Other things that are used to treat headlice would be irritating in your delicate vaginal area.

Did your b/f happen to have any cold sores? One of my friends had oral sex with her man and he has one which in turn gave her Herpes. She too got the chills, felt sick. Check your lymphnodes down there. (they are located next to your pelvis and pubic bone in between the crease of your thighs) If they are tender, that is another sign of Herpes. (or another infection of course)

Thank you for the help. No my boyfriend didn't have a cold sore, made sure to think and ask about that one because I had considered herpes as a posibility. Thank you for telling me where at least 1 lot of lymph nodes are I am afraid that alot of biology things are news to me, such as where things are located. The spots do not seem to have spread, even though I picked them which was a dreadfully stupid thing to do :rolleyes: . I think there may be the possibility that my symptoms are not improving because I am rather stressed and near my period, once again I say :rolleyes: .
As to the public lice thing I shall atempt to remove the hair down there and try and convince my boyfriend to do the same just incase. I will give it a few days before I go to the GUM clinic and keep an eye on my symptoms.
I love these boards what a fantastic idea. {removed} This site gives me faith in humans and there potential for giving help voluntarily so that someones stress can be relieved, I love everyone here who gives advice because they are a prime example of what it is to be a good friend, family member, support etc. I panick alot less now over symptoms. :bouncing:

DON'T SHAVE your pubic hair!!! Not until a doctor looks at it. If it is some kind of infection, you could spread it by the shaving OR picking at sores.
Thankfully like you said it hasn't spread by the popping/picking yet.

Thank you guys. I have not had the courage yet to shave the hair off. Yes it will be easier now to see a doctor now that I have the right words. The discharge is clearing nicely now but I think I have to go to the doctors anyway because when I first noticed the discharged my labia urethra and vagina were all covered in discharge and I believe it was thrush at an incredibly advanced stage, if it had managed to spread to all areas in that region then it could have spread further inside me. The hot flushes and really sick when I need to pee seem to indicators of a urinary tract infection and the last time I had both of these conditions I also had PID. I am prone to these kind of things. I wish they gave more education in schools and universities about STI's and also other pelvic infections because it would make it a lot easier to identify certain conditions. For a long time I thought thrush was some thing to do with birds and involved a thrush causing brown spots in your mouth :rolleyes: . People in education seem only to be concerned with telling you about STD's and even then they don't tell you what the symptoms are or provide you with images of the symptoms which would be very useful.
