View Full Version : Temp. Crowns & Dark Gum

I had six teeth prepped for crowns that will be placed next week. Over one of the temps, I've noticed that the gum appears darker than normal. Not black, but definitely not pink. Has this happened to anyone else? I've kept them clean and the rest are all fine. None of the six are causing pain; just slight sensitivity to temperature. Could it just be irritation from the temp? I'm freaking out over here. lol Thanks in advance for all your answers/opinions.

Hi1 dont worry it may just be some clotted blood near the gum margin .You should worry if it swells or becomes red & tender to touch...take care
