I'm looking to get LASIK around May or so and right now I'm just doing some research. So far I have two doctors in mind. One charges $3000 for both eyes. The reason I'm considering her is because she has just recently worked on my friend's eyes and he is pretty happy about it. The reason I'm considering this doctor is cuz she told me that she only works on 10 patients a month (whereas others probably work on 10 a day) and is pretty careful during the selecting process.

Another doctor I'm thinking of going to is in San Jose and this doctor is pretty well-known throughout the Bay Area. I found him through the TLC Laser Eye Center website. He charges a bit more though: $3600 (both eyes) with regular LASIK and $4800 (both eyes) with custom wavefront. So now I'm just thinking of who I should go with and looking to see what you guys think.

Also, if anyone can recommend a doctor in the Seattle area that'd be appreciated.

Hi eveyrone. :wave: This is my first post. This site has some useful info. Anyhow, good luck in your quest. I too am sick of not being able to see the clock in the middle of the night. A friend had his eyes done this past summer and I keep checking up on him. So far, so good. Can't help you out, tho. I live in the Chicago area. He did give me a word of caution, stay away from the bargain guys and the ones whom seem to do a high volume per day. Anyone out there know of good doctors in my area?
