I have had a soar throat for over 7 weeks now, Visited Dr 2 times , told me viral infection on both occs. now throat is soar when swallowing (comes & go's) feels like there is slight swelling in throat, i am starting to get anxious about this wondering what it is can you help. :confused:

I have had very similar problems for at least 4 weeks, only my swlling feels like a ball is in the lower part of the throat it comes and goes,almost like a muscle tightens. My tonsils were red and swollen,but after 2 sets of antibiotics they went down,now they're swelling off and on again,first one side,then the other,I do have some post nasal drip,but I hate the feeling that you're going to choke on the swelling (or the ball in throat) I sympathize with you,but I've been told that this is must be another "Bug" that's flying around.
