I went to see a naturopath a couple times due to lack of energy, sleep issues, digestive issues.
Today she took my BP and it was 90/50 & 80/50 sitting, 80/50 lying down and something a bit lower when I stood up. I have had normal to low end BP but never like this.

What's up with this? She is wondering about adrenal glands. What are possible causes? What should I be doing or avoiding? I am at a loss and a bit concerned. ANY information would be so useful right now. My inernet searches are a bit overwhelming at the moment.
Thanks very much
Christine

Hi

You seem have what is called postural hypotension.........this is where your blood pressure drops depending on what position you are in.

I have this problem, was tested for addisons disease but it came back ok. unfortunately i have been told there is no medication to prevent this.

I have to manage with the dizzy spells and the headaches.

Hi Christine,

Have they done any thyroid tests for the lack of energy, sleep issues and digestive issues? I'm new here - mostly on the thyroid board but I do have low blood pressure.

If they haven't done thyroid tests, I would have them done.

Maybe someone else knows about causes or what to avoid.
Hope this helps a little. It's awful to feel out of control and no energy!

Let us know what you find out and good luck to you!
