This might be a strange question...but I'm sure someone else must have the same problem....
I have a lot of bowel problems (C mixed with D, etc). Sometimes I go to the bathroom 3 times in a day (that's a regular stool). If I have D, I go up to 4 or so times. Anyway, all of the wiping really irritates my behind. Does anyone have this issue and if so...do you use anything to heal the rawness from wiping??

Instead of just using regular toilet paper, I have a thing of wet wipes on the back of the toilet that I use. I have some under the sink too that are made by Preparation H that have a cooling medication on them. They work really well for those bad times. Preparation H also has a cooling gel/cream that you can get to use in between trips to the potty to help. :D

I use moist tissue paper, anusol and a nappy rash cream called metanium which is good to put on before going to the toilet.

I always use puffs brand kleenex on my bottom. With having IBD it's not uncommon to go quite a bit throughout the day. I would always sit in a lukewarm sits bath for a few minutes, before applying the a&d ointment. Also you may try if you have really bad d- take 1/4 teaspoon of L-Gluntimine in powder form with a half of glass of water on a empty stomach once a day. It will help your gi tract absorb the water from your d-.
