I developed a very large painful boil (my first one) in my armpit. It ruptured slightly and shortly thereafter I developed several more. A new one appeared every 2 days or so, with each subsequent one a little smaller than the last (but no less painful). During all this I also started to develope herpes type blisters in the same area. They were small and turned all white before popping. They healed rather quickly after that. They were definitely surface blisters and not at all like the boils. I currently have seven boils and woke up with a new blister this morning. I was diagnosed with genital herpes about 10 years ago but haven't had an outbreak in about 7 or 8 years. Could the boils and herpes be related? Could my body's fighting the boils weaken my immune system enough to bring on a case of herpes in the same area? I had been treating the area with moist heat, but wonder if I should continue. This morning I also noticed sharp pains from the area down through my breast on that side. Am I in danger of any nasty complications? Any help or answers would be very appreciated. Thank you.
