my bf recently noticed a red bump, similar looking to a masquito bite on the shaft of his penis(close to the base of his penis). I know this isn't very much info, but for those who have herpes, has this been a sign of a break out. My bf doesn't seem too worried about it at all. But i am flipping out. Anyone have any thoughts?

It very well could be herpes. My ex used to get the same type things on his penis, and they were herpes. BUT...the only way to know for sure is dont wait till it clears up, go to a doctor and get it swabbed. Remember, doctors are paid to hold confidentiality, and as embarrassing as it may be, it is best that he finds out. Also, it could be a host of other things, and it may be a nice relief to have a doctor look at it and tell him it is not herpes. Take care, and get it checked !!
