hi guys while I am on my 3rd week of taking 2 nexiums, i noticed I get tachycardia/dizziness/fatigue/high blood pressure

and was not sure what was causing it, and I decide dto check online for side effects, the high blood pressure Igot from the begining but it wasbetter after a week, but the tachycardia/dizziness are very bad, anyway I amnot sure if i shoudl just stop it and take something else, lik zantac, i am so sick of this, I am not sure what would help at this point, but i am glad i did not take 4 nexiums, mine are 40 mg each, and the pharmacist said that taking 4 is not safe at all, 2 is about the max you can take, so be careful guys, dont over do it on nexiums, since they can be dangerous,

I am not sure if i should stop them completely or just take 1, i am not sure what else they can give me but i am so tired of this acid mess since i still have not eaten solid foods, and its driving me crazy.

I have a solution for you that worked for me, I take nexium 40 mg with an alternate called carafate 3 teaspoons to be exact, talk to your doctor it might work for you. just don't quit your nexium especially if you have an ulcer. :)

I was prescribed nifedipine for esophageal spasms. This is a calcium channel blocker. It also lowers your blood pressure and this was an issue for me as I already have low blood pressure, I was very dizzy after taking it. My current GI (we moved) told me there are no standard treatments for esophageal spasms. Good luck and I hope you will feel better soon.

Since I had the Botox, in 2003, I am feeling much better, but I am still taking 40mg of Protonix. I still have problems from time to time but they are nothing compare to what I have been through in 2001 (I could not swallow for about 3 months). The first streching also helped but for me the Botox worked great, I did not have any symptoms for 7-8 months.
Good Luck!!!

was the botox the one that got you back to eating again? did you eat right after it??

also did you have esophageal spasms or just difficulty swallowing because of acid?
