OK...not sure if anyone will be able to help me with this one, but I'll give it a shot.

I am in my 20s, very unhappy with the way I look (low end of average range, in my long-studied opinion.) I have identified that I have a weak chin, but I can't put my finger on what else is wrong - don't have a huge nose, for instance, or thin lips or acne scars, but the whole package just doesn't come together well at all.

I consulted with a plastic surgeon, who recommended chin and cheek implants, which I got. Now I think I look even worse than I did before, though admittedly I am still waiting for "final" results at 1 month post-op.

So...

Before I invest any more time or money into a) getting these implants removed, or b) getting them changed, can anyone recommend a doctor or organization in the Los Angeles, CA area that helps people figure out what cosmetic surgery proceedures to get? For lack of a better word...a beauty consultant? I realize that sounds dumb, but I am determined to improve my appearance and self-confidence - I just want to be as methodical as possible. I feel like I've wasted a lot of money already by consulting only with my surgeon and getting poor results. Any input or referals would be appreciated!

you really need to figure out for yourself what you want to have changed, don't let a 'beauty consultant' tell you what looks good. when it comes down to it, you can only look as good as you allow yourself to think you do. you could get all the 'right' changes that someone tells you to, but if you don't see yourself as beautiful, you've gained nothing.
