I've been taking 20 mg Paxil since March. My panic attacks were almost gone but now I starting to have them again. I've gained 13 pounds since starting the Paxil and this is FREAKING me out. And forget about sex.I also take Xanax to help with my panic while I'm working. I went to my doctor yesterday and he gave me 25 mg Paxil CR and Lexapro. He basically left it up to be to decide which I wanted to try.
I started the Paxil CR this morning, my thought is that since I have seen improvement with Paxil,I should stay with it.
This is my first time ever talking to anyone about my meds. I would love to hear from anyone with their thoughts or suggestions on the new paxil v/s lexapro. Also if anyone is on the Paxil CR could you tell me if you still experienced weight gain with it? Oh and will I ever want sex again? Thank You so Much!

Hi...
I have been on Paxil for almost a year now, and the biggest complaint is the weight gain. My doctor added Wellbutrin once daily to see if that would help with giving me the get up and go, and then that may help to get the weight off. It is also supposed to help with putting some spark back in the sex drive.
There are so many combinations that you can take. You need to be open with your doctor and open to try. Sometimes you will feel like a bit of a guinea pig...but if the end result is feeling better, it is all worth it.

P.S.
