I am not sure what is going on, I have all the sudden developed alot of pressure in my rectum but cannot use the bathroom almost like when you have a baby. Could this be a blocked bowel?

I don't have an answer for you, but I think I have experienced the same thing. Every 2 months or so it happens, always in the middle of the night. It can be so uncomfortable I'm not able to go back to sleep for quite a while. I rarely can have a bm and it feels like I'm constipated. Then usually the next morning I have a regular bm. I always forget to ask my Dr. about it because it doesn't happen often.
