well yes, you should get tested, this could very well be from shaving, but unfortunately herpes comes in all forms, sometimes so mild you may not even know you have it.
I think it's safe to say that anyone first diagnosed with herpes feels yucky. I was diagnosed this past November and I am still not right from it. The best thing for you to do right now is to find out for sure, then take it from there. If in fact you are positive, do as much reading that you can, you will come to find out that having H is a very common thing. 1 in 4 people have it hun, so trust me when I say you are not alone. It's not like people run around saying "hey, I think I am going to grab me a case of herpes today!" None of us ask for it and it's something that can be controlled and dealt with. The longer you have it the less of a problem it becomes, for most anyway. Just get yourself to a doctor and find out the truth. You will find a lot of people in the same boat as you, such as on this message board, and will support you in your hard time.
good luck and keep us posted.

that seems to be my problem, I dont know what is an outbreak or what is a shave rash anymore, as herpes does come in all forms. Everytime I get a red dot I am scared it is herpes. My outbreaks have been weird sometimes there is no mistaking it and other times I get confused.
