Hello! New to this site. Does anyone know if current research is showing the inner ear or the cerebellar - vestibular system to be linked directly or indirectly to anxiety? In other words, does this area seem to control and regulate the amount of stimuli that enters the brain, thus a disfunctioning inner ear could cause the brain to get overloaded easily which could create anxiety. I just read a book that was published in 1986 which says that this seems to be the case. Also I was wanting to know if there was a certain medication or other treatmnet that seems to be preferred over others when treating the inner ear - more specificully the cerebellar - vestibular system when it comes to motion sickness or anxiety. I'm being a bit vague here, I just realized, but any specifics you could give would be a big help. Thanks and my very best to all of you. Steve
