I've been to the ER 3 times to try to find out whats wrong with me. I also have an appt with a GP tomorrow. I'd be so grateful if anyone could suggest some ideas before I go to the doc tomorrow. For the last month my stomach has been hurting on the right side, about 2 inches to the right of my belly button. It also hurts under my ribs and sometimes lower in my stomach on the far right side and down into my hip. The pain also goes into my back and sides sometimes, but it is pretty constant in the area to the right of my belly button. It can get quite severe at times. My stomach also gets upset and nauseaous easily. I havent really had any diarrhea except for twice 2 weeks ago but I think I caught a stomach bug from my son. I've been tested for kidney stones/infections, and had an abdominal ultrasound and CT scan, and a comp. metabolic panel, amalyse and lipase, and everything came out normal except for a slightly elevated WBC. Do these symptoms sound familiar to anyone? Can you have crohns disease without the diarrhea? Where would your stomach pain be if thats what it is?? TIA Sarah

Could be IBS or diverticulitis but would be best of course to consult with a doc.

hello there well let me tell you what happen to me. i have IBS and for the past month i have had bad stomach pain and it is painfull. i also get this pain and its about 2-3 inches to the right of my belly button. i mean when it comes on it hurts bad!! well i went to the ER twice for this and the first time doc says its from IBS acting up. well it kept doing it again so i went back to the ER. i told doctor that i get this bad pain and nausea and im on the toilet for long time. well he done a cat scan of stomach and found that i have diverticuitis. it is a sac on the colon and if you eat certain foods it will cause bad pain. like popcorn, nuts or seeds of any kind. just look up diverticulitis and see if your symptoms are there or it could be the IBS acting up also. hope this helped some. take care.
