I was wondering how oral herpes are obtained. If a woman with a coldsore on her lip kisses a man's penis, will that man obtain herpes? Or are STDs only transmitted through the saliva going into the penis hole?
Also, can herpes still be obtained on the balls under the penis?

Hello,
Yes, you can get herpes on your gentials from having someone with an open wound on their mouth give you oral sex. You can get the herpes anywhere in your pubic region. Never kiss or let anyone with a large cold sore on their lip give you oral sex. Wait until it is completely healed first.
Women are more at risk because the vagina is a warm moist place that can harbor bacteria but, men can get it this way too as well. Either way, always use a condom.
Good Luck

Actually, you can get herpes anywhere. Dentists, before the use of gloves, would often get in on their hands and, I suppose, even spread it to others. Yikes. It is just that HSV I likes the oral regions better than other places, and type II likes the genital region better than others.
And, herpes can indeed go into the hole. A lot of misdiagnosed urinary problems can be traced to this type of infection, in which there is no visible sore.
