Hi. I have had severe back since a badly administered epidural last feb. In april i was referred for an MRI and to see a consultant. Both appointments came through in november. The MRI show a bulging disc a L4. Since then my symptoms have worsened and i now have numbness in my right leg, which causes it to give out, resulting in some nasty falls. I have also lost sensation on the inside of my right leg and the heel half of the soul of my foot. I went back to the gp this week and he thinks its nerve damage at L4 and has referred me back to my consultant. Has anyone suffered a similar thing? or had problems like mine after an epidural? Where do I go from here?

I went to an orthopedit surgeon because he had successfully reversed neuropathy in a case like you describe, if the problem is around L4. This might be a case of compression of the spine which can be fixed.
You feel the epidural is the cause which is different from spinal chord compression.

Good Luck
