hi all
i have expereinced a dull ache in my upper right abdomen for approx 6 months,recently its got worse and i feel swollen in that area.If i press in a certain spot its quite painful but otherwise its just a discomfort.I have seen my doctor who`s sending me for a scan,she says it could be gallbladder or liver problem and prescribed buscopan to ease the pain(which hasnt worked).Since taking the mediction i feel a little bloated and gassy,didnt have these symptons beforehand.
I definately feel that whatever the problem is my liver or gallbladder is swollen.
Any ideas??
not panicking or anything but will probably take an age for my scan appointment on the NHS.

Hey downguy--sorry to hear you're feeling so crummy. DOes the bloating/pain get worse aft eating, at night or aft alcohol consumption.(if any) Ususally the liver doesn't hurt--in may be enlarged and you feel pressure, but not pain to the touch. My dr gave my hysocamin (similar to buscopan) when I had gallbladder probs and it didn't help at all for the pain--in fact I think I got really bad headaches from it. The only relief I got was when it was removed. Did your dr do any bloodwork yet? Hang in there. elf

the bloating only started after i started taking the tablets,the discomfort has creapt up on me during the past 6 months and its not painful unless i press on the tender area,ive had a urine test but no blood tests yet,still waiting for my scan appointment to arrive...thanks for the concern but not really feeling crummy,just wanna know what the problem is :)
