Hey efm--:) just a quick note to see how you are feeling...any news on the latest labs? Hopefully things are back in the normal range and you are feeling better.Sorry I haven't been around--one of the twins was in the hosp for pneumonia and the comp was the last thing I thought about!! My labs came back three times their normal but we think that's from stress/lack of sleep etc, and they are beginning to return...it's all good.
Hope you had a great holiday and New Year!! Post when you get time. Take Care!! elf/Gina

hey you!!!!!! hope all is good with you and your family. Well there is good news for me. My LFT finally returned to normal with ALT at 39(0-55) and AST of 29(0-40)! I was so happy. All I did was eat more naturally, no crazy vitamins, no protein shakes or bars, no xanex, very minimal advil. Thats it!! It was probably a mixture of all those things, but the doctor still seemd almost surprised. I think it just took time for my liver enzymes to come to normal and either the protein shakes or this vitamin I was takings which had so much stuff in it might have been hurting...or the xanex, who knows!! hehe! I am just maintaing the same diet and healthy lifestyle and do not plan to ever get tested again unless my BODY tells me so. i will keep in touch with you Gina. god bless you and thanks!!

Eddie!! Those are GREAT numbers!! I'm so happy for you--the long wait was worth it!! A high protein intake can have a negative efffect on the body--we tend to think since it's "natural" ingredient in food and it's good for you, more is better, right? High Protein definitely contributed to my liver probs, even tho I wasn't on a "low carb diet" -- I had just changed my eating habits and the foods I ate were very very high protein. (I missed my Cheetos tho!!--gotta have a vice!) So--I know better next time. While it wasn't the ONLY reason my liver failed-the planets were all lined up and that just added to it.
Keep up the good work Eddie!! TTYL Gina
