View Full Version : Is This A Planters Wart?

I have no idea what this is. About 8 years ago I stepped on a very large, long nail that was stuck in a board and it went through my shoe, and almost all the way through my foot. It took 3 people to pull the board off. I was stationed in Saudi Arabia at the time, so I went to the doctor who gave me a series of shots, because he said there were lots of diseases and such around there. It healed up, but there has been alot of what I thought was scar tissue since then. It's almost like a calloused perfectly round area, and completely level with my skin. But the skin picks away easily as though it is dead skin. If i pick it away I am left with a very large, very deep hole in my foot. It's right on the pad or ball of my foot. The doctor said it's a planters wart, but there are no black dots(blood vessle ends), it doesn't hurt at all, it's not discolored, and if i remove all of the easily removed skin, it doesn't bleed at all. It's just ugly, and it seems to be getting wider and wider. I went it 6 times for saylic acid treatments and it did nothing, the skin just grows back the same way. Any ideas???
