I hope some people, both professionals and other informed individuals, can give information about recent advances in non-surgical anti-aging techniques. I am a 56-year-old man who has never had any cosmetic work, rather hesitant to go through with plastic surgery for something I know is inevitable. I’ve taken supplements for years, jog and play various sports, and I know I can’t stop the process of getting older. But recently for a multitude of reasons, I went from having a reasonably young-looking face to sporting massive lines around my eyes. I am interested in all options, even if you want to tell me to get used to the idea of looking my age.

It sounds to me like you’re already on the right track for taking anti-aging measures. You exercise, take supplements, have what seems to be a realistic attitude towards getting older. I would keep on with these. And if you have family, involve them with as many fun activities as you can schedule, as that is truly the best way to not feel old, IMO.

Upon thinking of non-surgical treatments – I am 31 and am not ashamed to admit that I worry about superficial things sometimes too – I came across a lot of methods out there. One idea is Thermage, which is a procedure that uses heat to smooth out lines. Lots of people have varying opinions on it, however. If you are serious about having something “done” you should discuss it with your doctor before handing over the money.
