I have had florida health care for 5 years. Last year they went up $96.00 a month and my perscriptions drug plan went up $10.00 a month. Ok, I could deal with it. Got a raise and lost it due to fhc raising there rates. Now....This year they went up again. ( after building a new place ) They went up $109.00 a month and my perscription drug plan went up $25.00. I pay now for me and my wife $600.00 a month plus my perscription medication for high blood pressure costs $55.00 a month. " for two people " WOW I think that is very high. I even tried getting cheaper quotes from other companies. Nothing compares to the coverage. $655.00 a month for two people is wrong. I also think that raising my monthly payment $100.00 each year is also wrong and also raising my perscription that I have to have each month $25.00 is wong also. I am sure thier are alot of people out there with the same problem. Hows it feel to pay for their new building hear in port orange florida.............Lots of other companies want to sell you a cheaper insurance but its all bull !@#* insurance. We all pay way to much. Lots of people can not afford it....................... Thanks for listening

I feel your pain of frustration with FHCP (I have seen that new building in P.O.). I have not seen my rates go up this year yet but since I work for the school system and we have open enrollment in September it probably hasn't happened yet. I am frustrated with the presciption plans too. I am on lipitor and it was always covered. When I went to get my most recent script filled I found they didn't cover my 10mg. Since I am on 5mg. they had to give me 20mg and I either have to cut it into 4ths, next to impossible, or take half every other day. Their formulary drives me crazy! What gives insurance companies the right to determine what should and shouldn't be covered?
