ok, here goes... I have some kind of hair-like, translucent "worm" or something-first noticed shortly after I had an abscess on my chin (doc said caused by a bad tooth).. Now in my eyes, ears-my mom thinks i'm having a nervous breakdown - too impossible to be believable... (about the "worms")

It's in my hair - travels under my chinbone, then behind my ears, and down back of neck..

Anyone ever heard of such a thing?

Oh my god,thats just too wierd!this is an actual worm that you can see zipping around inside of your face??Have you seen a Dr yet for this??I am assuming this is some kind of a parasitic issue??you will need the right meds in order to "kill' this thing.I would see your doc asap.I can only imagine what this is doing to you and I too would probably be having at the very least,a major nervous breakdown if I saw what you have described inside my face.But you have to see your doc for the meds and an actual Dx of just what this actually is.I would be there like waiting at his door when he came this morning if it was me.good luck and please let me know just what you find out about this 'thing'.FB

Can your mom see it?
If not I have a suggestion- it's floaters. These are dead cells inside of your eye ball. You've had them all your life but this absess could have caused more than normal and you're just now noticing them. They can be bothersome but they will go away. May sound silly but find a blank white wall and look around at it. It's highly possible the "worms" will be on the wall.

But if you're sure that's not it I would have to ask- can you feel them? Does the skin actually move? I've looked at the different types of parasitic infections (worms) and have not been able to find anything that would inhabit the face. Regardless, you should see your dr. if you can see/ feel them.

Well, yes & no... (about seeing this thing "zipping around" inside my face)... This is such a L O N G , drawn out ordeal, I dont know where to begin...

I first noticed it months after the abscess had healed and gone away. I was tweezing hairs off my face, and in so doing, 'thought' I saw one move... Of course, I looked a little more closely, saw nothing, etc., and dismissed it...
A few days later, I went thru the same thing again.. I thought I was losing my mind.!! Being a down to earth person, I naturally felt I should be sure about such a thing before taking further steps-this was unheard of!!
So, I asked a friend to look. They couldn't see anything, and reported that there was a type of splinter that would actually move itself thru your skin via barbs, and it was common in the area we were in. This was decided to be the problem, since by now it was in my fingers as well as my chin.

That was appx. 2 years ago - there have been 4 hospital visits, two docs, and a health food store.
I am told that there are so many different types of "parasites" that its probable that this hasn't been documented.
My mom - well, she thinks I'm have some sort of post something stess syndrome - this being her 3rd diagnosis... (first, it was a brain infection, next some sort of schizo>>> (not sure of correct spelling :)
These things are translucent - extremely difficult to see. You can see them w/ a microscope, but people view this thing as a hair. They cannot see it move, but I have the privelage of being able to feel it...

I've only in the last month discovered I can film it, then watch the film in FF, thereby being able to "see " it move. After all this time, and everyone I know deciding I'm nuts...

I'm beyond suicidal. I lost the end of my rope a few miles back... Now, I just want to know, am I the only person in the world with this? I don't believe that can be true...

Somewhere out there, theres GOT to be some poor person who, no being as "bull-headed" as I tend to be, has been convinced they're schizo (or some other such illness), and is currently so drugged up they probably are disfunctional (after all, how much of a drug would you imagine it might take to make someone NOT see and feel something that is really there?!!)

Do you happen to live somewhere fairly close by(even within a few hours driving distance?)of any sort of university teaching hospital?Or any medical teaching facility?this would be where I would go if I was dealing with what you are.these types of hospitals are more on the cutting edge of science and all things medical.they also LOVE the more obscure types of diseases and conditions as this IS a teaching facility and theyjust love to be the 'first' ones to Dx a starnge or bizarre type of condition.See if there is some sort of parasitic type of specialist who would be able to at the very least,consult with you on this.

i DO know what it is like to have some really bizarre things going on inside your body and no one really believes that it is happening.this was til i ended up at the university of MN and they knew right away what was going on.i really do think that at this point,this type of facility,even if you have to do some extensive travel,would really really be just about your only option at this point to really have this whole thing totally evaluated.and they WILL believe you.these types of facilitys really do see some of the strangest most desperate types of patients with rare or almost unheard of conditions.these hosps are peoples last resort types of medical facilitys where alot of people go when they have exhausted all other options.this WAS me.i now also have developed some really incredibly bizarre types of things actually changing the shape of my skull,and no one can give me any sort of reason for this despite the fact that you can feel these strange dips and grooves.i am seeing my wonderful neurosurgeon again to see if he has a clue.I am just very thankful that I live near such a great university teaching hosp with a NS who has over thirty years into being a really good neurosurgeon.See just what you can find in your area as I really do think this would be your best possible chance of actually finding out just what in the heck is actually there.please keep us posted.good luck and hang in there,someone,somewhere has had to have seen this or heard of this at some point in time.FB

I'd considered trying to locate a student in med or science field who maybe had a thesoris or such due, who might be interested in atleast looking into this (*me ;o), atleast enuf to keep mom from doping me up, but ... where does one start in trying to locate someone ?

Good gosh, I can't stop crying... Anymore, I just don't know if I should trust any of my thoughts or ideas - not enuf to act of them, anyway... Your suggestion(s) are enuf support to motivate me - something I've been without... For the 1st time in my life, I've stood uttely alone in all I do, until all I do has disappeared...

Well, sounds familiar-I can tell you how to tell if its the same thing I've got, or a 'hybrid/strand' of it... Take a lit cigarette ( or a candle) and hold it under your nose (not close enough to burn you, but as close as you can get otherwise. these things will project themselves at the flame, alsmost as if they're trying to 'put it out'. You'll hear them sizzle, and if you keep holding it there, eventually you will begin to 'feel' the pressure of their pushing against it. They have a unique smell, and make black smoke when they burn. Most likely, it came from your hair. the 'core' of them is black, almost like a 1 to 2" black dog hair, but if examined under a microscope, it goes on and on and on from there, and is translucent in color. Let me know how the 'burn test' goes ;o)

Can u describe to me exactly what 'floaters' look like? What causes them? Do they 'do' anything to you? And how do you get rid of them? What exactly are they?

I don't blame you for freaking out about your problem. Have you heard of

electromedicine killing parasites in vivo. Frequencies are sent in and the

parasites die. You could benefit from finding someone in your area who uses

this technology. This could benefit you greatly. What state are you in?

wow thats frightning id rip my face off lol theres gotta be someone to help u take out a lighter at eh doctor and show him lol i know i know ur afraid he'll admit u to the luny bin but how else are u suppose to figure this out...something kinda similar happened to me yrs ago i got these sores onmy upper legs inner thighs and on my het hem but i was only 14 and had never had sex or anything i dont have herpes or genital warts these things would hurt bad one day i was looking at one on my leg and i poped it and i pulled a black thread thing out and then i tried it to the other ones and it did it tooo to this day i dont know what that was it went away and it hasnt come back but it reminded me of what u said minus them moving
