HI All! I have OCD with depersonalization (weird feeling like I am a stranger to myself- very demoralizing). I have been doing the CBT 4 steps from the book "brainlock" with good sucess in all but the depersonalization feelings. Has anyone had success with the depersonalization. I think my problem may be that I cannot accept the feeling so the unacceptance is the compulsion???? I am still unsure if the depersonalization is an OCD thought itself of seperate. I am so scared and just want to feel normal. Any help would be so great! Amanda

Amanda,

Have you tried the course "Attacking Anxiety and Depression" by Lucinda Basset? You may wish to do a search on it.

I had purchased this for my son and it helped him greatly with thoughts of depersonalization.

Good luck!
