The flush I do goes like this:

For about 4-5 days before the flush (I do it on the weekend), I eat apples or drink apple cider for the malic acid which will soften the stones.

On Saturday morning I eat fruit, fruit juice and then at lunch I'll eat a plain baked potato or plain rice or more fruit or juice. Eat no fat of any kind.

At 2 pm I mix up my Epsom Salts Mixture. Which is 4 Tablespoons of Epsom Salts to 3 cups of water and put it in a glass jar and into the fridge.

Eat nothing. Then at 6 pm I take 3/4 cup of the ES mixture.

At 8 pm take another 3/4 cup of the mixture.

Then at 9:30 pm I mix up 1/2 cup of extra virgin olive oil and about 3/4 cup of fresh pink grapefruit juice (remove the pulp with a fork). I shake this in a jar really hard to mix it up good.

Then at 10 pm I stand near my bed and guzzle this olive oil/juice mix (take no longer than 5 min to get it down) with a straw. I then immediately lay down on the bed on my back with my head propped up on 2 pillows. Lay still for 20 minutes and do not move or talk. Then I usually drift off to sleep. The first time I did it I felt the movement in my liver/gb area. The second time I felt nothing.

In the morning at 6 am - 7 am I take another 3/4 cup of Epsom Salts mix and then lay back down (some people stay up though).

Usually by then I'm dumping tons of stones, so I'm up and down a lot.

Then 2 hours later I take my last 3/4 cup of Epsom Salts mix.

Make sure to drink water if you start feeling lightheaded or that your electrolytes are low. That happened to me the first time and I felt awful.

You will probably pass stones most of the day, but it will gradually lessen. Some people have them even into the next day or so. Mine are usually done by 4-5 pm.

My Naturopath Dr recommended it to me, so you really can't compare his advice with a conventional Dr. You can ask your Dr if you want--just be prepared for them to be negative about it because they get no kickback from you trying to take your health into your own hands vs handing out a prescription form or having them give you unnecessary gallbladder surgery.

Do some searches for it and you'll eventually come across a wonderful site regarding this matter. You'll be surprised at the number of people that have cured their digestive problems, eczema, and even cancer with it.

so why don't doctors do this flush more often if its actaully happened to have cured cancer related problems? are they really that money greedy? its peoples LIVES we are talking about. why don't doctors create their own packaged Flush program that they could sell then? if there is a way to help cure or at least temporarily clean the system, and money is their main concern, then why not package it and sell it!

I too am going to do a parasite/liver flush due to some pain in my uppder abdomen that seems to be affecting the edge of my ribs on both the left and right causing some tenderness to the bone. although the flush i read didnt have epsom salts, but rather use herbs that u take for different doses for the first week and then a steady amount for a year.

Sure wish I could lead you to a wonderful website about flushing, but moderators here don't allow me to post links. There ARE Drs that recommend flushing, in fact if you do a search you'll find quite a few that have written books and tell you exactly what flushing does and how to do it.

Uhhh, yes, they're that money hungry/greedy. If you do a liver flush and it cures your gallbladder attacks, fatty liver, high cholesterol, high triglycerides, eczemza,--how are the hospitals supposed to make their money for those ct scans, xrays, bloodwork? how are the Drs supposed to make their money for those office visits? How are the pharmacies supposed to make their money? It's a vicious cycle. How many Drs do you know personally that sit down with you and take all the time in the world to find out your problem and actually care about you?? Do any of them call you in a day or two after your testing just to see how you are? They're all staring at their charts and looking at their watches to see how many more patients they can squeeze in during the day so that their practice doesn't go out of business. Or so they can have that pretty plaque on the wall, or get that award at the end of the year. 9 times outta 10 they've already got the prescription pad in their hands before your ailments are even outta your mouth. And haven't you noticed that one pill always leads to another and then most of the time you end up going off of all of them because they just don't agree with you?

The Drs that promote flushing also promote healthy eating---from the Earth, not out of the bag or processed foods. You can't just flush and not change your diet or lifestyle because the stones will just keep coming back. They aren't going to package a liver flush (although there are supplements and herbs like you're talking about) that are "supposed" to help with flushing, but from what I've heard, they really don't work. The whole point of a flush is to build up bile from the gallbladder and then let them be expelled. The reason Epsom Salts is used is to open those gallbladder ducts wide so that the stones can pass easily. Epsom Salts is a laxative and does just that. There's also a flush that uses Coke too, without the Salts---and it has worked for people. I don't drink sugar out of a can, so I won't use that one. But that's another option for you, if you so desire.

The epsom salts flush takes 24 hours and is proven to work, I'd rather do that over a weekend than have to take an herb for a year, but that's just me.

Parasite flushing is not as important as liver flushing and should only be done I believe I read after the 3rd or 4th flush. Sometimes though, you'll pass parasites with the liver flush itself. There are some interesting pictures out there of parasites and what people have passed---and ALL people have them.

The stories I have read about these flushes in books and on the net are truly amazing. I used to be a Doubting Thomas, but not anymore. The proof is in the pudding (or in my bloodwork I should say). :) Good luck with whatever you decide.
