well i was sick with a fever a few days ago and now i notice what seems like a cold sore on the inner wall of my mouth on the right side towards the bottom. I know Ive ahd this before, since I was very little. I have never had sex, but I have given oral howver it was quite awhile ago. Is this herpes?

Is it inside your mouth? Do you eat a lot of acidic foods, fruit? coffee? spicy etc? You may just have a mouth ulcer or canker sore. Can you go to a doc if you get it again to have it swabbed? Do you get it in the same spot inside your mouth over and over again? Try to keep a diary of foods you eat, and see if it coinsides with what you describe. I think you are ok, but I am sure you will welcome other opinions.

According to the Herpes Manual written by Terri Warren, ulcers inside the mouth...I believe refered to as Canker sores are NOT herpes virus. I was wondering the same thing because I had always had ulcers inside of my mouth when I'd get sick as a kid so I was thinking they were part of the herpes 1 virus but they are not!!!!!
