I have taken 5 pregnancy test from the Dollar General, all have been a very very faint positive that appeared at about 3 minutes. I called the 800# on the box, and the lady told me to consider it a BFP, because an evaporation line would only occur after 10 minutes. My Question is that my LMP was 11/25 and I believe I o'd around DEC. 20. Wouldn't it be a bright bright positive by now? Also the lady said that the sensitivity level was 25mu. Should I already be worried about a miscarriage? Help please.......................

I know this is an obvious question, but have you tried another brand of HPT? Is it possible at all that you O'ed later? I have heard many stories where women can't get a + HPT til months into the pregnancy. Have you called your dr.? It does sound promising to me!!!

I tried the equate brand, but their sensitivity level is 100mu, and I got a BFN, but if I onlyget a faint + with the 25mu one, I don't see there is any way to get a BFP with that one.

I've read two things. I've read that a faint line is the result of a low HCG and that the darkness of the lines don't matter. Not sure which is true. It would seem that the faint line meaning low HCG would be true since most tests say that a very faint line is common in very early pregnancies. I researched that because after my first few BFP's I was concerned that the test line was not getting any darker (and in fact lighter) days later. I started spotting and now I'm getting BFN, so it must have been a chemical pregnancy. I was going to the doctor on Monday to confirm with a blood test. I think you should do the same thing.

hi,

ok i know it sounds kind of obvious but why dont you just go to the doctor and have the proper test done or try a different brand of hpt.

Yeah, maybe the best way (and most accurate at this point to ease your mind) is to go have a blood test done at the dr's. At least you will know for absolute certain then :)

What colour is the line?
a grey/colourless line is an evap line, and no they dont always come up after 10mins, they can come up earlier, in some less relaible tests.
If the line is the same colour as the control line then it is more hopeful, but again cheaper tests do sometimes have 'false' posatives within the time limit.
So always back up a posative test with store bought ones.
