Hi I am really hoping someone can advise me on this,as my niece is fraught with worry, she is too far away for me to go to her, anway she is 6mths into her pregnancy and is awaiting blood test results this monday coming. They say they think she has Cholelithiasis a liver desease, and if correct the twins could be Stillborn! I realise no-one can tell me to tell her that isnt true, but just worried and want to have something to tell her when I phone(the minute I find an explanation) I dont have much more info as I havent spoken directly to her yet,so hoping someone may have some idea as to what to expect.Sorry to have so little but I'm alway's hopeful so, here I'll sit till I find an answer in any way lol.
Thanks in advance

I just wanted to say, you are in the right place!!!I ususally post in another area, but i wans browsing and read your quote. i have not come across any other person who is familliar with this condition. I was diagnosed in 1998 with chloerstastis of pregnancy with my thid child. When I complained of the intense itching my doctors would just say it was normal and say it was due to a condition that is common in pregnancy. As I went later in my pregnancy, I would itch so bad I could not think of anything else and could hardly stand anything to touch my skin. I would also have these discolorations on my abdomen and I was just extremely miserable!!! Someone elso suggested it was something that may have been related to my mental health!!!! I had never had any instabilities regarding my mental health and Just thinking about it now just makes me angry. But, Thank goodness there was a doctor who wanted to do additional testing and found out that I had this condition. I had to take a powder called cholestyramine(I believe that is how it's spelled) and some other medication. But really the symptoms would not be relieved until delivery. I had a amnio done to determine if my son was healthy enough to be delivered at 36 weeks which really was not early and he was fine! However, if you do get a epidural make sure to ask if it could increase the itching. I had some complications with it because the itching had become so intense or mabe I 'm just allergic to morphine-I do know I will never have this stuff administered to me again, if it can e helped! I hope I help and not hendered your situation, but know that it all worked out find for me.
