so, just a few things on my mind today. af is due this weekend. my cycles have been running around 36 days. (atlease she's been running more consistent). i cant seem to be diciplined enough to take my temps in the morning. i know that when my year is up and we have to go see specialists that they will want to see my temps, but i cant seem to do it! i guess you can say it stresses me out. too much pressure i guess. and then when i was trying to temp, i would forget to do it when i wake up, even though i had my charts and thermometer by my clock. dh and i started to not use protection in december of 04, but i didnt have a cycle until march and that was induced by provera, so im counting april as our starting month of ttc, so my year is almost up. can someone be "normal" and it just takes them longer than a year to concieve? i guess i'm feeling really discouraged. there are 2 girls in church who concieve a month after they were married. it only took them one month of trying! the one girl is just recently married, the other had her baby in july and is 4 months pregnant again. and then has the nerve to ask me if dh and i are going to have kids soon. i know she was trying to be nice, but it really hurts when people ask that because they have no idea, i think it's rude. sorry to go on like this, but it was really on my mind. one more question, how many of you have been trying for more than a year? have any of you had children after more than a year of ttc without going to a doctor? thats all for now. thanks for reading

My dh and i tried for a little over a year off and on (more on!) and we were able to conceive without the doc. mine too asked for temp charting and so i did and i think that really helped us to get pg, because i was starting to learn more about my cycles and when the best time to bd was and all that good stuff. I also took vitex to help my af's become more regular and drank green tea to produce more cervical fluid and all also did OPKs for the first time and that very same month i actually got pg and am now 7 months pg. And we are both young and apparently healthy, i am 21 and dh is 23, so you can have problems no matter how young or old you are.
Many couples take longer than "normal" to conceive and some couples need some extra help and there is nothing wrong with that. It doesnt matter how your baby gets here:)
What helped me to remember to temp in the morning was a huge note i taped either to my alarm clock or to my bedside lamp. Also i just kept reminding myself of how much we wanted a baby and that i needed to do what i could to make that happen. I know it is hard but once you start you'll start getting used to having to do it. I do understand about the pressure, and its easier said than done to suggest trying not to think about it so much when everywhere you look there are pregnant women and babies. I understand it all too well. Maybe a nice little trip with your dh to cheer you up would be good for you? Thats the reason my dh and i took a few breaks from ttc, cuz the pressure was hard for both of us and we just needed to focus on other things for a while.
I hope all goes well for you and that i have helped you in some miniscule way;) Take care and good luck! keep us updated!!

YOU know, i have hard that 50+% more of the time, its the GUY that have a lower sperm count which is contributing to the chances of conceiving a baby. I mean, this i am not exactly sure, when a guy comes a lot in heavy and thick i would assume that contains more sperms than a guy that comes in more watery ... like stuff ?~ anyhow, maybe you should check with your dh, maybe his sperm count isn't high enough. =)
GOOD LUCK !!! remember to elevate your LEGS, i think that helps a lot.
