Hi,
I Was Wondering If Anyone Out There Has Had Any Experiences With Endometrial Ablation Or The Leep Procedure.
I Have Cervical Dysplasia And Also Cyst On Ovary That They Say Shouldnt Hurt But It Does Also Very Painful Periods And Pelvic Pain.my Doctor Advised Of Hysterctomy But My Insurance Denied And Said We Had To Do This Procedures First.
I Had My Surgery For The Ablation And Leep And I Was In So Much Pain Afterwards It Was As Bad As Having A Child.the Pain Has Went Away And Having Some Blood As Expected But My Stomach Is Swelled So Much.my Husband Said That Is Probably Because They Burnt The Inside Of My Uterus.
I Am 42 Years Old And Have Had Cyrosurgery Also To Try To Get Rid Of The Dysplasia.
They Said I Would Probally Not Have Periods Afterwards.
I Am Not Sure If I Am Pmsing Which This Would Be The Time Of Month But Ive Felt Very Emotional And Edgy Since The Surgery.
If Anyone Has Any Information On This I Would Appreciate It.
I Am Hoping It Works So I Dont Have To Have Another Surgery But They Said They Wont Know For Couple Months.
Thanks,
Tami

 Hi i am 47, from the uk this sounds very much the same as i had about 6 years ago, the burn away your womb lineing with something long with a ball on the end.
After i got a swollen stomach, my periods got alot lighter but never got rid of that stomach, i have now got a large fibroid in the womb lineing, with bad period pains.
Ithink if i had the choice again  not sure that i would go through with it, because of the bloatedness . sue

I had Endometrial ablation 2 years ago. It was the best thing ever for me. I have had no periods at all. I still get cramps when I ovulate but they are short lived. Compared to what I dealt with, with my periods since I was 11 these cramps are a piece of cake.

The procedure was a little more painful then I thought it would be but I also had a tubal along with it. All was well worth it in the end.

Good luck to all. I hope all can have the same luck I have had with it. I was apprehensive at first because the dr gave me only a 60% chance of no periods.
