Holy mackeral! You're kidding, right? First of all, a rash, in order to be diagnosed, must be seen and, with all the possibilities that exist out there, it would be highly irregular to begin to described "a rash" consistent with your needs. Secondly, if you've ever had a chance to review a textbook on dermatology, you will see that you have a better chance of matching your symptoms wiht the diagnosis therein described. Lastly, you need to understand that HIV cannot be diagnosed through symptoms. THe only way, and the best way, to determine your HIV status is to be HIV tested. chris

First, i am really trying to understand your sarcasm...
I just simply ask was there a rash that would mean HIV infection..thats all...
I ask cause i thought you could basically talk about anything here!!!!
Now, I have had it looked at by a physian..and she said that it may be a side effect from my medicine.she said that she know it would go away and it doesnt look like anything in particular...so i got something for it..I just kind of came out of no were so it kinda surprised and/or scared me.
I know that sometimes ur doctor can misdiagnoise symptoms
I am awaiting HIV results (taken tues) and i just wanted a piece of mind...
Sorry to bother (CHRIS)

I apologize for my sarcasn - bad day spent with old friend with devastating diagnosis. My point was that a rash needs to be viewed to determine size, color, texture, etc. And, as I thought, your rash was related to something else. And, typically, there are no AIDS rashes related to the disease but only to medications to deal with the disease. I don't understand why you would think that someone here could advise you on something we can't see when you doctor told you what it was.

Trace back your risk factors...get tested because getting tested is the only was to know for sure. And, I'll try not to be so sarcastic, if you try not to be so sensitive. chris
