Has your gyn tested for the MMR shot. (Mumps,Rubella,Measels) I brought it up to my doctor and did test for it. I am not immuned to them so I am debating if I should get the shots. What has everyone else done?

I thought you were supposed to make sure to be immunized for these before ttc and waiting a certain amount of time before becoming pregnant. Not exactly sure so you might want to ask your doc. and as for being immunized i think its really important since you can be exposed to so many different things while pg that you did not even think of before. I suggest talking it over with your doc and getting the shot:)

I also was not immune. I had to have the shot and wait 30 days before my RE would do any treatment. If you get rubella during pregnancy, the chance of birth defects is pretty high. If you get it in the 1st month you have like a 35% chance of your baby having birth defects. It's totally worth it to just have the shot.

Slightly off topic, but still...
In general adults need to get reimunized for several things (and particularly before TTC!). When I went back to get my master's degree I had to prove recent immunizations to the university. I had to get another tetanus shot (every 10 years, BTW), polio, MMR, and I decided to do the hepatitis series. I also got a TB titre. Figured that as long as I was there and insurance wasw covering it I would get it all taken care of in one fell swoop.
Since I did that 5 years ago (wow! time flies...) I didn't have to do it now when TTC.
