Hi

I have numb toes. They keep locking in a downwards direction - I can move them with my hands (great pain until they are back in place ) but as soon as i let go they return to their paralysed state. There is pain along my foot where the toes attach.

It lasts about 5 mins. My foot is sore to walk on in that area.

I have not had an injury. I have pre-existing cervical spine problems ... but I can't see that being related

Has anyone else had this?

Hello - Cervical problems can definitely affect your feet/toes. I *think* that usually problems in your lumbar spine are more likely to cause foot/toe problems, but cervical can as well - that can affect everything/everywhere from your neck on down. (I've got both lumbar and cervical problems myself). I really think you need to go see your primary care physician, and then go from there. Having numb/paralyzed toes sounds very much like it is a nerve-impingement issue, and you don't want to wait too long before getting it checked out, as the longer you wait, the more likely it is that you could end up with permanent nerve damage. Of course it could be something totally unrelated to your cervical/spine problems, but better to get it checked out ASAP anyway.

Please let us know what your doc says.

Thanks for your reply.

I was planning to go see my GP to get his opinion first .... if it didn't go away in a couple of weeks.

Had way too much medical bad news over the years to go rushing off in a hurry to get it!

Will just take it easy and see :)
