What is the best way to check your CM? I have just started doing the temps now I am going to start checking my CM too.Should I just take a little from the opening or go deeper ,Because there really wasnt much at the opening when I wiped with tissue.

Sometimes you have to go deeper ;) Easiest & most comfortable way is to do that in squatting position, at least I think so. Some people recommend doing that while sitting on the toilet. Anyway, you squat and insert 1 or 2 clean fingers (preferably with short nails) deep until you feel tip of your cervix and then gently swipe. Take it out and you'll see CM.

Should you do this everyday? Also when you start to see the EWCM is that the best time to BD.We cannot Bd everyday so I am trying to get as close as possible.

If you're serious about charting, yes, it's best to check CM every day. Because temperatures show that you've already ovulated and it's too late. EWCM is a sign of fertility and when you have it - it is the best time to BD because sperm can live for up to 5 days and in order to survive needs EWCM environment.

savanannastar - if you could, it would be best to test your cm with your fingers as you need to see what conistancy it is. CM changes throughout your cycles. Dry, Sticky, EW and Creamy. Just insert your finger and if there is no cm there just record it as dry.

The further you go with your charting the better able you are to determine when you O, therefore you'll be able to time your bd'ing better.

With my DH and I, we need to bd every 36 to 48 hours around O, because of DH sperm count. So every 2nd day should be fine, and every day around O would be great.

What if you always have some sort of CM I am never completly dry.I know I Ovulated last week but as I'm still checking I still notice like a white creamy mucus. Is this normal to always have some sort of substance???

Yep completely normal. I usually have a couple of days of dryness just after AF.

The cm you are describing, record it as creamy. With my charts I've always recorded CM at the end of the day.
