Hi Everyone.. I Recently Posted My Concerns About The Lymph Nodes That Are Swollen On My Neck And Head... The Dr Put Me On Two Different Types Of Antibotics, Bacterial And Viral..... Needless, To Say The Lymph Node On The Back Of My Head Has Went Away, But The Others On My Neck And Behind My Ear Have Not... Does It Take Awhile For Them To Go Down?? I Would Have Thought Since He Had Me On Two Differnt Types Of Meds, That It Would Surely Get Rid Of Whatevers Going On W/ Me !!! Any Advice Would Help !! Thanx.....

Hi,

I don't know about your situation, but from what I understand it can take months for reactive lymph nodes to go down. I have a few swollen lymph nodes under my chin(one about the size of a marble...the rest smaller) and my old Dr. told me they may never go down(they've been there for a couple years). I was so worried about them when I first noticed them...and I constantly touched and squeezed them. This is most likely why they're still enlarged.
So, try not to touch them too much...they should go down with time if you leave them alone.
Take care,
hilery
