View Full Version : St. John Wort and 5-HTP

Has anyone had any success with St. Johns Wort or 5-HTP in relieving the symptoms of depression? I am currently going to a natropath doctor hoping to treat my depression naturally rather than going on medical anti- depressants, which seem to have more side effects. If anyone has any suggestions for natural ways to treat depression I would love to hear them. Thank you

Apparently meditating is meant to help with depression.
I don't believe in doing things like that, but I know people that do and they have told me that it relaxes the mind and puts things in perspective. It's worth a try, even if you're sceptical.

I've gotten relief from st. johns wort. But once you stop taking it, the depression gradually comes back.
