Me and my husband finally decided that we would make a baby. I am turning 30 ans hes 43.I want to get pregnant this year and can u give me some pointers on how to get pregnant easily ?? Are there any preparations I have to do ? Please tell me so.. Ive never been pregnant in my life and im thinking maybe im not that fertile.
When is the best time to get pregnant ? Like how many days i have to wait after my period is the best time to get pregnant ? My period started last January 12 and we had sex last Jan. 19,when is the right time or when would i be fertile ?
i would appreciate your advice.thankyou.

There is a trying to concieve board on heath boards and they can probably help you alot too, but I used ovulation tests to find out when I was ovulating. We ended up having infertility issues but thats a whole other story. Are your cycles regular, if they are you probably ovulate the 13-15 day of your cycle, It just all depends. Also if you have a gyno I would go in and talk to them and tell them what your doing, ask if they can start you on prenatal vitamins, its good for your body to be healthy.
Sometimes its easy getting pregnant and sometimes not, if you time it right to your cycles and you dont have infetility issues then it shouldnt take to long.

Day 1 is the first day of your period. Your most fertile time is between days 13 and 15 when ovulation takes place (or is supposed to). Like Meg said, I would refer you to the TTC board. Those ladies can tell you everything you need to know and are going through it with you. Good luck.

I found out last January that I have PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome) and we started actively TTC and in August I got my positive test results. There are many women that go through so much trying to conceive that it is really helpful reading some of the old posts of what the women tried that seemed to work and those that seemed to not work so well. I thought about buying books about ttc, but once I started chatting with these ladies, I felt that their information was first hand and seemed to work. Good luck and lots of baby dust to you.

You really need to start charting, using ovulation tests, and monitoring cervical mucus and position. A lot of people wont ovulate between cd 13-15. I didnt used to ovulate until cycle day 26-29. You also need to establish what type of cervical mucus you have some times make getting pregnant almost impossable
So if you only have intercourse between cd 13-15 and you actually ovulate earlier or later you could never get pregnant.
Goodluck :)

My suggestion would also be to chart your cycles. The way I do it (it's something my dear mother has taught me when I first started getting my periods) is just circle it in a calendar. That way you will know how many days are in between your periods. You always count from the FIRST day of your last period. If you have already been doing that for a while, then go back a few months and see how many days are in between your FIRST days of each period. Ovulation, if your cycles are regular (and that can be anywhere from 26-35 or so days), should occur around midway. Then you just BD every other day for about 10 days around ovulation day, and BAM, you're preggo! Well, at least that's what I am wishing for, for every couple that's ttc!!! :D
But seriously though, unless your cycles are off, it shouldn't be that hard. If they ARE off, then I'd probably invest in an Ovulation Kit, like some of the posts recommend! The CM tests others recommend, haven't really worked for me, but I guess I'm lucky in as far as I ovulate regularly and I can tell because i get a pain on one side.
However it goes for you....good luck and keep us posted, and yes, read lots of old post they REALLY help. Those ladies in here are wonderful!!!

Trouble with that method is you can have a 8-9 day luteal phase (which is called a luteal phase defect) or at the other end of the scale a 17 day luteal phase, so it wouldnt work our right doing that either.

Midblue_alone - if it all sounds to daunting for you and you have a cycle that last around 28 days, try bd'ing every 2nd day from CD10 and continue through till CD20.
If after 3 months you've had no luck, then try taking your temps.
GL with everything :D
