Took a hpt today as I'm expected to get AF today or tomorrow (couldn't wait) I had one line and a faint line next to it, any idea if that could be a slim chance of a positive? I feel totally normal and took a test yesterday that came back negative. Thanks in advance!

Hi. I don't know how to interpret the lines, but I would recommend using the test that says "Pregnant" or "Not Pregnant." It's what I used. They're pretty foolproof and you can get the drugstore version cheap. I got mine for $12.99. Plus, you can test up to three days before AF is due. Good luck! :)

As long as you read the test in the time frame indicated, you should consider it a BFP. I took 7 test, and they were all super faint. Congrats!!

i only ever got bfp faint lines, a line is a line congratulations on your bfp :bouncing:

Good luck sweetie! I'm with the other posts, faint or fat, doesn't matter, a line is a line. Mine was faint too last time around! So I think it's safe to say

Id agree also, a faint line is a good line, though i think i would test again just to make sure.

Depends if the line came up within the time frame, and also depends on what colour the line is?
If its pink (or blue) its most likely posative, if its grey or looks like an indent line then its an evapouration line. If its coloured but came up outside the time then its still negative.

It always pays to go try another make of test. The digital ones are not as sensative though.

I took the first response and it was a lighter shade of pink after the 3 min wait. Took an EPT this am and it was a minus but you could still see a very faint line to make it a plus. I'm so anxious and am praying that this could be real! On the bad side, I kind of feel crampy a bit, almost like Aunt Flo is coming but I'm doing my best to keep her away LOL I think I'm going to hold off and do a digital test Tuesday morning if I can stand to wait that long. Thanks again for all the pieces of advice and encouragement!! :)

I was crampy when I got pregnant with my dd. I thought I wasn't pregnant because I was crampy feeling, but I was! Maybe that is the same for you. I hope so.

Hi everyone, I just wanted to thank you for all of your advice regarding the faint line in the HPT's I was taking. I ended up taking a digital test this am and it came through as "PREGNANT" loud and clear. I am on cloud nine although I'm trying to keep calm as I know the first few months are critical.
I wanted to thank everyone for all of the advice you have given me over the past 6 months and am sharing some of my baby dust with you. I used to be so jealous when people would post BFP's and I can't believe that it finally happened to me. I'll keep praying for everyone and hope that you can share the same excitement soon! ((HUGS)) :bouncing:
PS, one thing we did different this month was that I laid with my legs up against the wall after BMS. I used to do that for a few minutes, but I was pretty good this time, laying for 15 minutes or so afterward.
