View Full Version : 2WW finally!! Anyone with me?

and it's a good one too! I'm 3DPO at the moment and feel a lot of activity going on in my pelvis...it's cramping and pulling. Also, I'm breaking out around my jawline and mouth and a co-worker of mine (an esthetician) told me it can be hormonal. But then I'm wondering whether it's just wishful thinking and I'm "inflicting" it upon myself?? Don't know whether that's possible. No other signs so far, AF is scheduled to arrive 1/31 IF she does.

So, is anyone else out there waiting with me? How do you feel? What's been going on? Would love to hear it all!!

Until then, good luck to all of us, lot's of patience and sticky baby dust!!! :D

I am with you. AF is due 2-2-06. I have been feeling bloated a little and pains in the bottom of my pelvis. I hate waiting I don't do it well. I have no reall symptoms yet.

When I got prenant with my first I broke out all over my face, so it could be.

Best luck to you and baby dust.

Good luck to you gel2005!! Keep me posted on possible pregnancy signs! It's interesting to see how others feel. How long have you two been ttc? We just started up again this month after having waited 2 cycles after my m/c in Nov.

I for myself, will try to distract myself from waiting as much as possible. I don't like this time as well. :(

*****baby dust to you, too!

bronicagirl, it sounds promising, those faint lines! A line is a line, whether it's faint or not!! No sore boobs for me so far either. It was a sure sign for me, too, last time. But then again, it hasn't been very long since conception (if it actually did happen, that is :) )

Thanks for the post and good luck to you!!!!

I am 10 DPO.. have had some light pulling on and off for a few days now - which is unusal prior to AF for me, but I am not getting my hopes up yet, Every month I seem to think I am PG! CM is also still pretty creamy/lotiony. Don't think I will test before Tues or Wed though.

Good luck everyone!!!! :bouncing:

Sorry to hear about your miscarriage befer70. This will be the third month of TTC. It took us six months to get pregnant with our dd. Sore boobs and exterme fatigue are signs for me. I have been overly tired, but no sore boobs. I could be tired because my dd is sick with RSV and I have been looking after her. So we will see. THere is still hope. Good luck for you befer70.

Good luck Bronicagirl! Sounds like you are going to get you BFP!. Baby dust to all!

oh wow, I'm soooo sorry to hear that bronicagirl :(. sticky baby dust to you and GOOD LUCK! The good thing is we're all in this together!
It's been 5dpo and yesterday I felt a bit queasy all day, but then again, I don't know whether that had anything to do with the movie we watched (Underworld, Revolution)? I was pale when we got out and the thought of having to go to dinner repulsed me, but when the food was in front of me, I ate like I hadn't been fed all day!!! Pelvis is still pulling a bit, but no other signs so far. And it's too early for a test
:(. Feeling a little tired around mid day. I actually took a nap yesterday afternoon... oooooh, I wish the wait was over already!!!

How about you, ladies? Anything new or different?

HelloKitty1973,

I'm 11 DPO. I took a test this am. BFN. Plus I've been having a lot of cramping, which I usually get with AF. And my breasts have been super sore since 1 DPO. Like usual with my regular cycle. Not just the nipple, but the entire breast. Ugh.

I'm not testing anymore because I now AF will be here on the 27th.

Good luck to you though!

Hi everyone, I'm waiting as well (I just posted with a question about what to check cm for). AF is due 2/2/06, or somewhere around there. I'm either on a 28 day or 32 day cycle, one or the other, it likes to keep me guessing. I won't get excited until after 2/6.

So I have an appointment for my regular pap test this Friday. Can I ask for a blood pg test? Do you think that insurance would pay for that, and would it be accurate this early? I'm afraid I really don't know when I ovulated, but I think it was around the 15th.

Good luck everyone!

I'm either on a 28 day or 32 day cycle, one or the other, it likes to keep me guessing. I won't get excited until after 2/6. Sylvia,
your doc might even know by examining you whether your pg or not, who knows? but i'm sure you can ask for a blood test, they are much more accurate than the urine ones, so i'd go for it! don't know though whether your insurance will cover, but i guess you can always find out by calling them? in any case, good luck to you, trooper and kitty!

as for myself, i think it's way too early for me to test, so i'm not even gonna drive myself crazy. even though, i have to admit that i've been looking at the tests every time i go to the drugstore... dh had so much fun buying one last time, so i think i will let him do it!

i've been in denial over my symptoms for the last couple of days...checking, waiting, wondering, thinking 'oh, it's all in my head anyway!' i've been registering EVERYTHING and it's driving me crazy! Something i've noticed today however was a lot of gas and bloating (tmi, i know, sorry) which i don't usually get so soon before af (which is scheduled not until the 31st). what do i know. also had a very light headache today, but that doesn't mean anything, since i'm prone to headaches.

in the mean time i'm teaching myself patience (it's kind of become my mantra 'patience, patience, just have patience) doesn't really work though... ;)

aaanyway, another had has come and gone so that's a good thing!

as always, good luck to you all and keep us posted!!!

much love, B.

Hello Ladies!
Befer70, quick question how do you calculate cycle days....AF came 1/14/06 n only lasted four days. Most of the time I get sore boobs when AF comes around n then by the 2nd day boobs are back to normal! But my boobs r still sore plus my face is broke out around my mouth, just like u stated in ur first post. I hope I am not just imagining these things!! But i have had some cramping. I want to know what cycle day I am on so that I can test at the right time but as I stated I don't know how to calculate...please help if u can! Thanks

I still don't think that I am, but I have noticed that I have a lot of bloating and gas (which I never do). Also, my face has broke out around my mouth. Again, which I never do. It's weird. But I still don't think that I am.

naynay,

today (1-25-06) you would be on cycle day 12. You count from the first day of your last period. So start counting from 1-14-06. A regular cycle is 28 days and you ovulate on day 14. Everyon is different. SOme people cycles are longer, some shorter. And not everyone ovulates on day 14. If you have a regular clockwork cycle, that would be what it is. Otherwise you can check cm, temps and use an ovulation test to check when you ovulate. You can test the first day of your missed period(approx 14 days after conception), 5 days earlier with an EPT.

Any more questions, please ask!

I know I am not befer70, but hopefully this has helped :-)

I’m also sorry to hear about the BFN HelloKitty. It will happen, it will happen when it is meant to be. How long have you been trying?
Dumb me watched "A baby story" on TLC this morning, I just cried and cried. And then of course I start thinking "ooh I’m crying over nothing. Maybe this is a good sign?" Sheesh, what an emotional roller coaster.
My family isn’t helping much either. My 95 year old grandmother has decided that it is time for me to have a baby (she’s quite a character) and now the whole family is onto me about when when when, or that I’m too thin or working too hard or you name it. I appreciate their concern, but I really don’t need any more pressure. Only a few people in my family know about my miscarriage (it was actually an anembryonic pregnancy, DH and I went in for the first ultrasound, after which we were going to tell everyone we were expecting. The sac was growing, but there was no baby. Eventually I had to have a D&C at 11 weeks because the miscarriage was not coming naturally). Anyway, it took me a long time to get over that, I really was feeling so ambivalent about going through all that fear and uncertainty again (and the WAITING). But now I am so ready, and like the other poster said, I need to learn PATIENCE.
Do you all mind if I ask how old you are? I am 30, and my doctor tells me to calm down, but I do want to have more than one baby so I am also feeling a time pressure here. Does anyone else feel that way?
Baby dust to all, and have a great day.

Im 30 in April and i too feel the pressure, DH wants 2-4 children, id like 3 but as i told him ''im not a baby making machine''

None of my family know i have been ttc for 2 years and so when they say to us ''when are you going to start trying for a family'' i just have to reply ''when im good and ready'', they dont know how much we WANT a family and im sure if they knew they wouldnt keep on asking!

Anyway, good luck to you, though im not in the 2ww i soon will be ;)

Hi there -

Feeling time pressure??? I just turned 34 and am definitely feeling the pressure. Funny thing was, I just never had the urge to have children. People would always ask when I was having them and I'd just say "it's not something we want right now" - then suddenly, the maternal urge kicked in last year and we've been trying ever since. I sometimes wonder if I had started ttc earlier, if it would have been easier...but at the same time, I don't think I was ready back then and maybe I wouldn't have been a great mom. So now, I sometimes feel like I'm in a race against time. I do find comfort in the fact that so many women are having children later in life now - so it IS possible.

I just want to comment on people asking when you are having a baby - I cannot believe how often I hear that. People who I am not even close to (coworkers/friends-of-friends) ask and I am blown away. I guess I see it as...if I was 22 and just got married and someone asked me, I'd think it was a legitimate question - you know, do you plan to have children soon or will you wait...but I think once you hit 30, it becomes a sensitive issue - I think at that point, someone either doesn't want children or they are having trouble having one - so DON'T ASK!!! :nono: Having trouble getting pregnant has definitely made me more sensitive to this fact and more aware so I don't harmlessly ask it either.

Best of luck to everyone!!

I can relate to all of this. I am 32, turning 33 in June. We tried for about 4 months this time last year and got pregnant. I m/c in July at 11.5 weeks.. total bummer to say the least. we have been 'actively' trying again since about October. I was telling DH though that it seems like a year because i went of BC this time last year. I would have been due around 2/15, so it's especially hard since i wanted to be pg again before then.

I am totally feeling pressures with age, etc. because I would like to have more than one child. The 2WW has been totally horrible and when I look at the calendar, I think DH is away AGAIN over my fertile time..which just sucks. With each passing month and more BFN's, I am getting more and more obsessed and for the first time, DH commented on not wanting to be under pressure - which I totally understand. I just don't know how to chill out! :(

Atleast it makes me feel better to see everyone going through the same emotions.

I'm 34. I never felt that clock ticking before, but it sure is now. Hellokitty, I know what you mean about them being away when your are fertile. I haven't been luck to have BD'd during ovulation since last Sept. Oct, Nov, Dec, were total busts. And this month we only BD'd on the 12th. Perfect timing, but none before or after. So I don't feel too lucky this month either. I feel the months just keep passing and passing and passing. It's so depressing.

Well ladies as sorry as I am that everyone feels this pressure, I’m glad to be able to talk about it with you all at least. I just keep chuckling to myself about all the times when I was younger, unmarried and dating unsuitable men and I was always just petrified that I would get pregnant if he looked at me wrong. If only I had known how not easy it is, I guess I would have saved myself a lot of stress.

Luckydarlin, I completely agree with you, I am just astounded by the personal questions that people feel justified in asking. I’ve asked myself – have I ever treated others with such meddling and insensitivity? I really, honestly have not. I just have common sense (I think) regarding what is none of my business. So what is with all these people? They don’t seem to have a clue when it comes to manners. I also just answer "when we’re ready" and I’m afraid I’m a little abrupt about it, but people should learn when to mind their own p’s and q’s.

What we all need to do though is try to relax and enjoy the adventure. You know, my mom was reminding me the other day that her mom had a baby at 38 years old, and that was 57 years ago. My dads mother also had him when she was 38 – that was 60 years ago! So just think of how far obstetric care has come since then (and as a result how much more paranoid we’ve gotten). We’ve got years and years of 2Wwing in front of us. Hurrah.

I had a friend ask me once, "but don't you want to have kids". Like it was unheard of to not want children. If she only knew.

01-25-2006, 04:21 PM
I was at a cookout over the summer and it was with a group of people that we see twice a year. Each time we all see eachother, it's amazing how much bigger all the children are - who is walking, talking, or turned into a brat ;) Anyway, after the third person asked me "...and when are you two going to have children??? you better hurry up!!" I had lost my patience. A little while later, someone else (who I barely knew) said "SO when are you going to have a baby...are you at least trying" I just turned around and laughed and said "are you asking me if I'm having frequent sex with my husband???" - I know, probably unclassy to say, but it shut her right up and the people around me laughed and said "you know, when you really think about it, that IS what she asked". There is nothing saying we can't put them on the spot sometimes too :D

sammieP
01-25-2006, 04:28 PM
Luckydarlin - that is a good one, think i may use that one next time, might shut them up ;)

People can be so insensitive to other peoples feelings, if only they thought how they would feel being constantly asked a question that was rather personal to them, at the end of the day it is no bodys business but our own, people should butt out and get on with their own lives rather than meddling in others!

Sorry had to vent a little ;)

Haha, thanks Gel for jumping right in! I don't think Nay-Nay minds, plus more people have more ideas/opinions, so it's always good to hear others! I actually would have said about the same thing so Nay-Nay, i hope this helps you figuring out where you are!

Trooper, I am also not 100% sure it worked this month, even though i have the same bloating/gasy thing going on, but you're, i think, al little bit farther ahead of me, so i'll probably won't test until maybe a week from today. Oh but i'm also getting low back pain which is weird  my face seems to have calmed down a little.

Hey Befer,

The whole gas thing is weird for me. My guy makes fun of me because I never pass gas, or very rarely. He thinks I'm not human. Ha Ha. But wow, I've got a lot of gas now (tmi, sorry). I've been having weird pains on my sides and in my stomach. Which I'm going to assume is from the gas.

I've pretty much convinced myself that I am not since the test came back neg. yesterday morning. I'm due for AF Friday late or Saturday in the morning. Who knows if it was too early to test. I won't test again until I am for sure late though.

I did have really bad cramps on Monday, and they felt like AF cramps, but they went away yesterday and none today.

My breasts are way sore. I mean the whole breast is sore. And they are usually that way from day after O until AF.

Who knows. Don't you get tired of thinking about it! :D

wow when i posted my last message i didn't even realize the coversations that were going on! this is great!!
wow again, because it looks like i'm the oldest one in our little group trying to get pregnant! i will be 36 this April and trust me, I KNOW what pressure you're talking about!!! why did I wait so long? well, i always wanted children. i knew early on that it was going to be what i wanted. but i also wanted a good husband and father and i just never found the right guy until about a year and 8 months ago!!! i knew from the get go that he was the one and luckily he was and still is on the same page! we got married after only 9 1/2 months and have been ttc since last Oct. with one m/c in Nov. :( it happened right away the first time around so i guess i'm luckier than others and my body is co-operating with me ;) that's why i'm thinking this time around should be an easy one again, at least i hope...

on the subject of insensitive people around us; i think the problem is that unless you're in our shoes ttc and having trouble with it, people just don't think it's an issue! they don't think as far as 'oh, maybe they're trying and can't conceive and i should be a little more sensitive about it' no to them it's like 'well they've been married for a while now, and still no babies? what's wrong with them?' like you don't know that everybody is wanting you to get pregnant, seriously!!

yes, i feel the pressure, but like one of the posts said ' we still have soooo many months of ttc ahead of us!!' this positive kind of thinking is great and thank you for bringing it up! the glass is still half full, right? :)

anyway, thank you all soooooooooooooo much for participating, and i really hope that the ones of us who got a BFN this month can keep the glass half full and try it next month again without getting too discouraged. and for the rest of us, who are still waiting, let's hope that all our hard work :D paid off!!!

Good luck to you all dear friends!

I think one of the things i am going to try is to NOT keep HPT tests in the house. Then I won't have the urge to test early - like this week! When I got PG in May, I didn't even go out and buy any until I was 3 days late. I told DH when I bought them this week that i was jinxing myself! ;) But, I think not having them in the house "taunting" me should make my 2WW a little more bearable - hopefully! I'm just feeling so blue the past 2 cycles.. I've wanted to get PG now even more since I had the m/c. Guess it's the whole "don't know what you've got til it's gone?"

Anway - I do love the line that luckydarlin said! I am so sick of people asking me when we are having kids. Or the other thing I can't stand is the MOMENT you say you don't feel well, someone has to say "Are you pregnant?? Maybe you're pregnant???" Can't I just not feel well?? Sorry for the vent..we have to come up with a line for that one too

The best part about posting here is at least I'm able to keep a sense of humor. AF was due today and I tested tonight (tested 3 days ago and got a BFN but kept hope alive) - got another BFN tonight, but that's ok, there is always next month! My hubby and I were disappointed, but then started laughing when he said "I kind of knew what the outcome was after I heard you yelling from the bathroom 'ONE BIG FAT RED LINE AGAIN...WHY CAN'T I EVER GET TWO D**N LINES...I HATE THAT ONE D**N LINE'" :p So good news is, it wasn't a total shock to him when I told him no :D It got even funnier after that when he told me he went to the dr today because he had a horrible cold and the dr prescribed him a strong antihistamine - told him the only side effect is he may have a tough time getting an erection while taking it - HONESTLY, you cannot help but laugh at all this!!!

Best of luck to everyone who is still waiting...and I'll be posting my little heart out for another month! Just remember, even though it may not happen this month for all of us, there's always next month.

Luckydarlin, I am glad that you have a good sense of hummour, that helps. Sometimes people are so insensitive. Try to ignore them. It is hard. I am younger them most of you guys, but we were getting it from my dad before we had our first. When my brother got married he said, "good maybe I will get a grandchild from these two, the other two have given my nothing in five years." Little did he know we had been trying for 6 months. My husband said he was lucky I didn't burst out and cry. I ws surprised at my dad, because it took he and my mom almost 6 years to get pregnant. Endo runs in you family. My mom had it, her mom and her sister. I gues I am afraid that I will get it too. My SIL asked me when we were going to start trying again and I told her that we were, but not to tell anyone. She started counting when the little one would be here. I told her last time it took me six months, and she said, 'it took me the first time with both mine, I don't have a problem." It kinda bothered me. I didn't think six months was bad at all.

To be quite honest I do feel guily comeing to this board because you ladies have been through so much and me not so much. I know this seems strange, but I said a prayer for you ladies last night. Befer70, I prayed this would be your month!

Best to all you ladies! Try to have fun in the process!

Good Morning Ladies!

Hope everyone is doing well.

When is everyone expecting AF?

Mine is 1/27 pm or 1/28 am.

I had mild cramping yesterday late, but then it went away. Then last night I had the most awful cramp about 2 inches above my belly button, but on the inside. It hurt so bad that it woke me up. It's probably from all the gas I've had, but I've never had that happen before. And no cramping as of yet today. I still don't think that I am, but one can hope.

THANKS! I promised myself that I would not test until I was late. Like a few days late. I do have one test left in the house (I tested Tues. - BFN). I like Hellokitty's idea about not even having the tests in the house.

I am concerned about the gas though. If I'm not pg, then I have no idea what's causing it. And I never get gas. And to wake up out of sleep because of the pain! Ugh.

But does the gas happen right away? I know everyone is different, but I just feel that if I have so much gas, then I would be producing some hormones, right? Then how come the BFN when I tested?

I really need to stop thinking about this. :D

Please keep us posted!

For me, AF is due somewhere between 2/2 and 2/6! I envy you girls with such regular cycles, mine switches between 28 and 32 days, it's very odd. I have my regular pap/pelvic appointmet at the doctor tomorrow, so when they called to remind me I asked if they could also schedule a pg test at the same time. She said "you can talk to the doctor about that while you're here." Ooooh I hope they'll do it! Have any of you had a blood pg test in the dr office? How long does it take to get results? Or like another poster said, maybe he could tell during the exam somehow? I should know this!

Troop - If you figure out how to stop thinking about it, please pass on the advice to me, would ya?!?!?! The dr. decided she wanted my husband tested this month so I was to call her when I got af, but still nothing...which means my cycles are off again. I just went and had a blood test done so at least tomorrow I'll know for sure and she can call the order in. The less time wasted the better! :)

Sylvia, if you go for a blood test in the morning, they should be able to tell you in the afternoon, but i don't know if everybody handles it differently. At least that's what happened when i had to go in for blood tests after my m/c.

yeah, how can you not think about it when the symptoms keep reminding you...i've been really really tired at the end of the day, just exhausted, and i know i was like that last time, too. oh and soooooo moody!! oy oy oy!! i really hope this means something good! :)

Lilalegna - Did you test yet? I remember you saying you are 4 days late with AF. Keep us posted!

Hellokitty - Did AF arrive yet? Did you test again?

I'm doing okay. Last night I had sharp 'twinges' about 2 inches below my belly button, but on the right side. I guess I will find out today or tomorrow if AF will come for a visit. And I'm not testing until Monday if she doesn't come.

Befer, Sylvia and Gel, Lucky and anyone else I missed, what's going on with you?

Keep us posted!

Just saw a news article on a popluar search engine home page re: a test that counts how many eggs you have. Interesting.

Still waiting. Af is due on 1-2-06. I have been tired and have problems getting going in the mornings, which is a sigh for me. I have also been nausious. Sweets seem to not be settling on my tummy. I don't know maybe it is all in my head or I did catch RSV from my dd, so that could be it too. I did not get morning sickness with my dd until week 7. The first symptoms I got before I knew I was prego was tiredness, not being able to wake up in the mornings, sore boobs, and I did have cramps faint wierd feeling ones, and I craved Smoked salmon and cream cheese, which I haven't eaten since that one night. Don't have the sore boobs right now. I don't think I am this month, but we will see.

Hey Gel2005 - with your sore boobs, was it the whole boob, or just the nipple part? Sorry if too personal. Mine usually hurt 1dpo. So they do hurt now, but I usually get the bumps for fibrous breast tissue during that time. This time, even though they hurt, there are not individual lumps. It's just one big solid piece. You know, the more I think about it, I'm getting really sick and tired of my boobs hurting for 2 weeks out of the month!!!

When do you think your are going to test? Or are you just going to wait until you are late?

gel2005
01-27-2006, 11:06 AM
Not too personal. It was everything! Both boobs hurt all over. I couldn't move with out them hurting. I would have to hold them when I went up and down stairs. They hurt like two weeks before I tested. I wore I sports bra to bed. I could never walk around with out a bra. They were firmer and bigger too.

I will wait until I am late.(try any way) I am usually right on schedule, so we will see. I tested quite a bit when we were trying to get prego with my dd and it would just get me down, atleast I have a hope until AF

Trooper, my boobs hurt as well last time around, the whole boob, not as much as gel's but they definitely hurt. nothing this time either. except that the nipple are itches sometimes? if i am pregnant this time around, it is different than last time, definitely! this time around i can eat w/out feeling full after a couple of bites, no sore boobs, but instead i am very cranky and moody, have slight heartburn, bloating and gas...the only thing that's the same is that i am exhausted at the end of the day.
NOW, that COULD be all in my head of course!! I wish i knew already, but AF isn't due until mon.31st!! and i'm usually on time as well, and i uaually get some bloating beforehand but no cramps until right before and after she shows up! so that's definitely different...although the cramping has subsided a little.
i don't thing i'll be testing beforehand, unless we happen to be at the drugstore for some reason, as i do not have the tests at home like another post suggested! that is a smart idea! but one way or the other, you all will know, that's for sure!

Have a great weekend without too much stress! DH and i will be playing in the snow a little, so i will talk to you on monday, hopefully w/ good news!!

Thanks Gel and Befer.

The problem is that my boobs hurt really bad anyway 1 dpo. To the point that I do have to hold them while going up and down the stairs (as Gel). If I'm not PG this time, I'm definitely talking to my doc about that at my next appt. on Feb. 15th. I'm sick and tired of them killing me for two weeks.

I still have major gas and no AF cramps - just the sharp twinges. But it could all be in my head too.

I hope you all enjoy your weekend. I have a lot of work to do, so I hope to keep my mind occupied. And hopefully AF won't come!

Hope we all have good news next week!!!

It really helps to have these boards, thanks gals! :D

Checking for symptoms while ttc is making me nutty! I kept pressing my arm against my boobs all week because everyone says that's the number 1 sign - I realized not only are my boobs small  but they never hurt. Then finally a few days ago, one of them was sore - and I was happy...until I realized my bra had chafed it! :D I'm telling you, if someone told me your face turned a shade of blue when you were preggers, I'd swear I noticed that too!

Glad to see everyone is in good spirits! Tons of luck to everyone!

Well, my doctor did a urine test and it was a BFN.
Sigh. There's still a tiny chance that it was just too early to test, but I doubt it.
I'm going to get one of those ovulation predictor kits, do you all use those?

My doctor said to set a time limit that I'm comfortable with, and if I'm not pregnant at that point we will test DH's sperm count. But since we got pregnant a year ago, that most likely is not the issue.

When I was pregnant before, there were two symptoms I could not ignore. First, the extreme fatigue, and second - sore boobs. That was all for me.

Good luck to you all, lots of baby dust and thank you for being here! Remember if at first we don't suceed, try try again.

TGIF!

Oh I meant also to say (and I have to admit I am so embarrassed by how under-informed I am on this topic, perhaps everyone knows this) but my doctor recommended that the greater chance of conception will occur directly before ovulation, not directly afterward as I assumed. It makes sense because the egg can only be fertilized before it reaches a certain point at the uterus, but the sperm can live for several days. So get the little spermies swimming around in there, down comes the egg to meet them, the two shake hands and voila. For some reason I was focusing my attention on the days after ovulation. Well DH is in for quite a month, because we are going to BD on all those days, wouldn't want to take any chances you know.

Please don't laugh if you all already knew this!

I had some good news - my sister in law just had a baby, my third niece. So at least that takes some of the pressure off to produce grandbabies...

Hey Sylvia - got that about prior to ovulation. We BD'd on the 12th at night and I didn't move for the entire night. And I for sure ovulated between the 13th and the 14th. I can feel ovulation too. I swear, I can feel everything else, how come I can't feel if I'm pregnant or not!!!

SO, there is a good chance for me this month. But then again with a 25% chance and then only doing it once... my percentage goes down.

Sylvia224
01-27-2006, 04:01 PM
That sounds like a great chance Trooper! Think positive, visualize lots of little dividing cells.
What do you feel when you ovulate? I notice that I get some discharge right around the middle of my cycle, could that be it?

Trooper
01-27-2006, 04:11 PM
They call when you can feel ovulation "mittelschmerz". Silly, I know. But that's what I found when I researched it. I can actually feel ovulation - the egg being released and moving in the tube. It's weird. I feel everything! It's like cramping but different.

luckydarlin
01-27-2006, 05:23 PM
I can usually feel when I'm ovulating too - I get some cramping too. Funny thing - before we started ttc, I use to think I was pmsing. It wasn't until I started reading up on things that I realized I was ovulating! I felt like such a dope that I didn't know that! We definitely db'ed in the right time frame this month, but it doesn't seem to have worked...I wasn't a 25%'er. Good news is I'm very very crampy today so af is definitely coming. The sooner she gets here, the sooner we can start trying again.

One question - my doctor told me to remain lying down for at least 1/2 hour after you bd - is it true what I'm reading on the board that you should prop a pillow under you too?? If so, is it under your hips or butt? I know I've read that some women put their legs up on the wall for a while after - but I'm definitely not that coordinated and would fall off the bed! :D

gel2005
01-27-2006, 05:52 PM
Luckydarlin,

You certainly are funny. :jester: I think I would fall off the bed too! I too find myself rubbing my arms up against my boobs to see if they hurt. No luck either. :)

I can usually feel when I am ovulating too.

Bust luck and baby dust to all :bouncing: and have a happy stress free (yeah right :) ) weekend!

Hello everyone!

I started with a little spotting today, so AF will be here in full glory tonight or tomorrow. I am hoping that the later she arrives, it will push back my next O just a bit - since I know DH will be away for a few days in 2 weeks.. the later she comes, the better chance he'll be around when I am fertile! :D

Anyone tested yet??

Trooper - Regarding the gas, I started with that about 7 DPO last time when I was PG.

I hope its ok if I jump in here. I feel encouraged to have so many others out there around my same age. I'm 32, will be 33 in July. Dh & I have been ttc for our first. I was pg this time last year (on the first try then) but it was a tubal pg which we found out on Feb 14. We have been ttc ever since I recovered from the surgery (I think about Apr/May), and I just started charting.

I know we bd'ed during the days before ov, and I waited lying on my back. But for some reason, I just don't "feel pg". AF is due around 2/3 - 2/4, and I have a feeling she will come around. At least with charting temps & checking CM, I am at least starting to feel more in control of this ttc process - or maybe its just a good distraction. Anyway, its nice to read all of your threads, I hope one of us gets that BFP this month. I love it when anyone on this board does!

Hello all just posting what went on with me today.I was urinatiang every ten minutes while at work today and I worked eight hours!!!! It was soo crazy.I always drink alot of water it just makes me feel good and I will go to the bathroom maybe twice the whole day.But today was a totally different story.I was feeling very crazy you know just OFF.You know how you just don't feel like yourself yep that was me today.Very bad headache along with some tummy rumbling. My boobs are sore but it always gets like that around AF time.My period was due today and thats when it all started.I don't know the mind is a complex thing and it will do what you believe.I have wasted soo much gas attempting to go buy a preggo test and turning around then getting home and attemping to go back.Well I will get back to you great ladies got to go to the bathroom (again)

BABY DUST***********Love you all :bouncing:

I know a lot of women say that the first big sign you are preggers is sore boobs...BUT, I have a few friends who have said that didn't happen with them (so I always hold out hope when my boobs aren't sore :D ) I'm sure it is different for lots of women, but like a lot of women get morning sickness, but not all.

qteepie, I am cracking up over the wasted gas to buy the tests! I was so thrilled when I found the first response pregnancy tests that came two in a pack for $13 - I should buy in bulk! It would save me the trips to the store each month :)

Got AF this weekend and I start my clomid on Tuesday to jump start my ovulation, so that means I'll be off to the store this week to stock up on ovulation kits (yes kitS - since I am horrible at telling when I'm ovulating, I go through almost 2 boxes in a month). No wonder I failed science in school!!! :D

Also, hubby will be getting tested this week to see how his count is. He just had his 37th birthday this past week and laughs saying 'this isn't what I thought I'd be doing for my birthday!' ...but if it helps, right?!?!?!

Best of luck to everyone!

Nope I havent tested yet I am now four days late and want to wait until at least the first of the month to test. The latest I have ever been in my life has been three days and the fourth day SHE arrived so I am waiting today to see what happens(or how long I can stand it) :bouncing: .I may not test until this weekend then I will know if something is up.Whether I need to get some preggo care or get the doctor to make me regular.I was three days late last month and I have been pretty on time until then,But i was stressing out over the possiblility of being preggo which prolonged HER.But been taking it easy not going crazy :bouncing: (which is hard) and I will keep all you ladies posted

So I had my doctor appt. on 1/27, and AF is due anywhere between 2/2-2/6. Dr. did a urine test, which was a BFN.
Now though, my boobs hurt really bad, and I guess I'm still hoping. Do you guys think that there is still a chance? The nurse said (when i asked for the test) that it might still be too early to tell, but the doctor did not say that (but he's kind of a distracted guy).
I had a dream last night that I got my period, it was so vivid and I was so disappointed in the dream. I don't want to get my hopes up to be disappointed, I don't know why I'm doing this to myself.
I guess I just wonder, is the urine test at the doctor's office any different from the ept that I could buy at the store? If they are the same, I feel like maybe there is still a chance.
Baby dust to all of you, let's join Trooper!

luckydarlin

I think until af comes, you should always keep the hope that maybe it's just too early to tell with the urine test. My dr. gave me a standing order at the lab for a blood test - I can go each month and get the test (which I understand is the most accurate way to tell). She said it would be cheaper than me buying ept's every month (what she doesn't know is I still do anyway :D )

Crossing my fingers for you!
