DD was diagnosed on Friday with it. I think she got it from her 1 year old cousin. She is at home, but uncomfortable. I am running a humitifier, giving her vapor baths, puting saline solution in her nose and suctioning it out. SHe is not running a fever, but it breaks my heart to see her this sick. she is coughing up a storm and her nose it pouring snot. If anyone has any sugestions of anything else to do it would be much apprieciated

Oh yeah, her appitite is kinda so so which I expect, not really eating much, but her baby cereal. The liquids I am giving her are: liquilites, Gerber fruit smoothies, fruit splashers and milk. She only had about 3 wet diapers yesterday and they weren't overly wet, so I am watching that too. Her diaper was bearly wet this morning compared to what it normally is. She has plenty of tears and sliva and her skin isn't dry. She is drinking, so that is good.

Please, any advice or encouragement is more then welcome. I guess I am just a nervous 1st time mommy. :)

One thing you can do is keep patting her back, not a soft tap either..My son had this and was in the hospital for a week with this..And they had a little thing they keep tapping on his back to break up his flem...Also, just keep an eye on her and make sure she is not getting any worse and having problems breathing...If you see her nostrils flaring or when she breaths in she is retracting (when she breathes you will see in between the ribs sink in)..IF this happens take her to the er right away...And just relax...Prop her bed up where she is not flat on her back...Are they giving her any breathing treatments? Can you get a nebulizer(sp?)and give her the meds your self..Also, my son was on steriods and that helped also....I hope she starts feeling better real soon....Ralinda
