Hey Ya'll...
Well I have a Dr's appt. tomorrow.. It was 3 weeks this week from my possible exposure so I am sure if she does a test nothing will show now but atleast I can talk to her about it and get myself more prepared.
I'm just so nervous about everything (as I am sure all of you here have experienced) And of course I have been dealing with a little cold/sinus infection and that has me a little worried but I am thinking/hoping it is just a coincidence, not really feeling "bad" just congestion and all that fun stuff.
Anyway, I'll keep you updated.
Please know you are all in my thoughts and prayers and thank you for remembering me in yours.
Hugs,
Tracy

Well I went, she took blood , she is testing for HIV and Hep.
I am not sure if it's too soon for anything to show up or not, What do you all think? She said we would see what the outcome is now and then again in 3 mths.
PLEASE, PLEASE keep me in your prayers!
Hugs to all,
Tracy

Well, 3 weeks is early, but I'd imagine a negative is a good sign of things to come. :) You are in my prayers...no worries.

I think it's kinda soon too.... I SHOULD have had my results back today but the nurse called this morning to tell me she forgot to have me sign the release form  So I go back in this afternoon to give blood AGAIN and the lab tech said I didn't need to sign anything, but took more blood since they didn't test for HIV along with my other labs. She (my Dr) tested for Hep and some other things as well (I had gastric bypass surgery 2 yrs ago so they check everything often) The Hep results along with everything else was fine.
The lab tech said I may even get results tomorrow but for sure Monday.
I think it is a little soon but like you said Spectacular, a negative result could be a sign of a good thing.
Keep praying!!
Many hugs to all!!

yes it can be a very good sign of how you will test at the end of the window period, I hope everything comes back alright

What is the end of the window period?
I know I've read this many times but I just want to be sure!
I didn't hear anything today so I assume it will be Monday even though I know if the result is negative I know I am still not "out of the woods" because I know most antibodies don't show up for 3 mths.
Thank you for your well wishes, Dazed!
Hugs!

well I read that in some places in new york they some times say that 1 month is enough to tell sero status, but the real window is 3 months, on average 75% will sero convert about 1 month after, 99 % or so by the end of 3 months. a 1 month negative is a good sign, but of course a 3 month is solid.
