I'm 5'4" and 139 lbs, I'm trying to get down to 130, this si proving to be very dificult. I always try to eat well, eat breakfast(mostly eggs or frosted mini wheats) I eat a lite snack of fruit and a piece of lowfat cheese, lunch is usually leftovers from last night. I eat lots of veggies, drink fat free milk(and lots off it) try to eat whole grains, and almost never eat after dinner. yes occasionally i eat the bad stuff (dognut, a cookie, a mini choc bar) but not very often. Here's my exercise routine..... mon - fri 20 to 30 min moderate to intense cardio usually on my treadmill or one of fit tv's taped shows. sat- 1hour cardio 30 min weights. sun- 1 hour cardio 30 min pilates or yoga or whatever else is fun. I also carry in a days worth and over nights worth of fire wood usuall carrying 6-9 pieces at a time every day.

SOOOOOO why can't I loose the extra pds???? I've been doing this since the day after christmas. I did loose 50 lbs over the past 18 months, and these last ones are killing me!!!! oh I can't do much more cardio during the week cuz I get up at 4:30 am and have to get the kids up at5:15 to get ready for the sitters and my drive to work.

Try getting a better gauge on the diet. Bits here and bits there can add up to excess calories without even thinking about it (and the frost on the mini-wheats is so, so bad - straight sugar). Your exercise looks great, but your diet could use a little tweaking. Try keeping a diet journal for a full week: literally write down everything you eat, what time and how much each day and then look up the calorie and nutrient (fat, protein, carb) content of it all - either from the nutrition info on the package or fromthe USDA website.
But at a glance, the cereal, a lot of skim milk, and possibly even too few calories may be your problems. The occasional junky snack is fine, don't deprive yourself for too long, but as long as it is truly just occasionbal, is not really a problem.

yeah, I see about the cereal. I have a busy scedule, and 2 kids ages 6 and 7. I try to cook meals that are family friendly and quick. I do make casseroles and package rice and side dishes, but I always cut out the butter completely and used skim milk. . I do have low blood pressure, so salt content isn't an issue (MD says increase my salt intake to see if BP goes up) I also use my rotiserie alot , and yes I remove my chicken skin!!! I been drinking skim milk since I was 2 years old, I have a prob digesting high fat dairy. I also take a women's multi vit. I know your not a MD but can "the pill" stop you from loosing those few lbs? Should I increase weight training? or back off till I loose? See, I'm a size 6-8, but I have extra in the thigh area( they touch!!!!) and when I sit down, I have a role, it's not huge but it's enough to want it to go away. I know after having children I will never have my 20 year old body, and that's fine, I just want to look slimmer and toned!!!! I have a tight scedule I'm on the go from 4:14 am to 8:pm between kids, work and daily household duties, I don't have room for more workout time, do you have any tips on best workouts for a sm amount of time??? Thanks!!!!

Actually, hormonal birth control can somewhat hinder weight loss, but shouldnt cause a total plateau.
Try hard boiling eggs. Great, quick breakfast choice. Better that cereal anytime. Or soak steel cut oats overnight for breakfast. There's plenty of quick, better breakfast choices.
Do NOT stop or cut back on weight training. That helps keep metabolism high as well as general health benefits. Your workout is fine, but if you wanted to try HIIT cardio, it may benefit you. Honestly, truly, Id change the diet. I know milk has been a part of your life forever, but in general dairy seems to be a hinderance to weight loss for women. Especially skim because it trades the fats for sugars. Not good for fat loss. Try the food diary and see where you're at. It's very helpful for pinpointing issues that can cause stagnation in fat loss.

To sell milk, of course. :)
Some women have no problem with losing weight using dairy, but it has been my experience that a lot of us do, myself included.
