My DS is 7 months old, and has within the past week started waking up a few times in the middle of the night. He'll start by crying, and then sometimes he settles down and falls back asleep, whereas other times he'll cry harder and louder. And some nights he'll do it really early on, like around 2am, and then other nights he'll do it later, like around 5 or 6am. He really is an excellent sleeper. Usually he goes to bed around 9:30 and get's up around 7:30. But as of late, he is waking us up again, and isn't sleeping through the night. I know it's obviously just his sleep patterns changing, but I was wondering if anyone else is going through this as well. Sometimes it's frustrating since he has been so good at sleeping through the night, but I know he's just a little guy and he can't help it. Plus when he wakes up crying, the second I look at him laying there with his little jammies on, I don't even think about how I just got woke up, cause it's all worth it!

Hi there! Mine will be 7 months tomorrow. She has been waking at night - but I have been putting like 3 pacifiers in her crib with her and during the night she will find one of them and go back to sleep. I think it might also be teeth too. She has her bottom two - but I think she is working on the top two and has been for about a month. The nights I have given her Tylenol at bed time she sleeps fine and doesn't wake - the nights she doesn't get it - she doesn't sleep 100%. She is a great sleeper too for the most part and has been since 3 months old. But her top gums are thicker and I think these top teeth are killers - she has had the bottom two since November 25th!

You know I was wondering if it was his teeth bugging him again. He also has his two bottom ones, and has had them since early November. I think I will try the tylenol with him tonight and see how it goes. Thanks for your help!

I am shocked...DS slept all night long. We gave him tylenol at 9:30 with his food, and he fell asleep at 10pm, and slept till 8am! Not sure if it was coincidence or not, but he slept so well!!! And I knew he was in a deep sleep since I woke up before he did this morning! How often during a week do you give your DD tylenol? Do you just do it when she acts like she needs it or what?

Yea I don't like to give it to her all the time - but when she is unusually fussy at night I can typically tell something is bugging her and I have been feeling her upper gums and have noticed change - so last night she got it and she was SUPER fussy too - so yea, only when I think she really needs it. She also tends to grab her ears more - she has been checked for an ear infection - but they check out OK, but remember that teething pain can radiate to their ears.....so that wouldn't surprise me.
