thanks for your reply on my question about Yoga and the gym. When you were doing your gym routine what did you eat? Curious because you are the weight I would like to be again (was that in the past) and I need to get my diet in order as well. Thanks

I am pregnant now but what I was eating was:

BREAKFAST

1/2 to 3/4 cup oatmeal
2 eggwhites mixed with oatmeal, fry like a pancake in a tsp olive oil
top woth 1 tsp peanut butter or jam.

or 3/4 cup cottage cheese with peaches and a tblsp sunflower seeds

or yogurt mixed with high fiber cereal about 1/2 cup and a few strawberries

there are a few sample breakfasts

LUNCH

turkey burger
2 cups salad greens with 1 tblsp oil and vin
3 tblsp raspberries and 6 walnuts
1/2 sweet potato if still hungry or a piece of fruit

or big salad with chicken or tuna grapes walnuts with sourcream dressing

chilli is also another on I love to eat
piece of whole wheat bread

DINNER

some type of protein (SOY<FISH<LEAN MEAT<CHICKEN )
some type of beans(CHICKPEAS<KIDNEY BEANS< BLACK BEANS) or brown rice or sweet potato
plus soup or a salad
I have a sugar free jello with whipped cream now and again for a treat

Snacks

1/2 cup mixed fruit and nuts
apple with 1 tblsp peanut butter
or string cheese and piece of fruit
celery and cheese

I also love chocolate but the dark one only and I have a small piece of that every night.

The important thing to remember is that it is a lifestyle that you are going for not a diet, I eat more food now than any diet I have ever been on and am super healthy. If you feel like eating a piece of cake now and again eat it, you will do much better than if you deprive yourself. Try to eat the best you can most of the time but if you feel like something not quite so healthy go for it just go back to eating healthy and don't over do it. If you require more carbs than that just make sure you eat whole grains such as oatmeal, brown rice, whole wheat things like that. If you like to eat more of a vegetarian diet which I do as well sometimes Naxis has some great recipes and so much info, kind of the lifesaver of this board and packed full of info.
