Doing pushups on your knuckles can slightly increase your range of motion, which is good.

Also makes your knuckles tougher :D

Strengthens your wrists too, I would imagine.

I've done both and I believe it's good to do both.

Knuckle push-ups strengthen your wrists and knuckle bones.
Regular push-ups help your wrist's flexibility.

They both flex a lot of muscles in your hands, so I don't see much of a difference there.

my girlfriend tells me knuckle push-ups make me look like a horse. (hooves...fists? heh, whatever lol)

I type all day, so I like to do knuckle pushups or — better yet — hold on to small dumbbells while I do pushups so they're like handles. It's nice on my wrists, which I guess are getting carpal tunnel.

all that seems true so far.. but I honestly feel like i have more of a workout.. more burn when I do knuckle pushups.. I do them with my fists parallel to my body..

Those dumbbells never slip do they?

you might risk an injury to your chin if they ever feel like they're going to slide on you. (that is, if your using them on a hard surface)
