Hi, i dont know if i can ask questions like this, but im slightly worried. I have what i thought was a swollen gland on the side of my neck, but ive had a headache for 4 days now and for the past 2 days i have shivered to sleep. The lump has only grown bigger over the past 4 days. Anyone have any ideas about what it is?

Could be an infection somewhere in your body. You glads may swell due to this. Or it could be viral.

I have swollen nodes on my neck, but I get this whenever I get a virus (cold or flu) or a sinus infection. Usually, the more swollen mine are, the more I have a fever, which causes me to feel extremely cold and shivery.

I'm sure it is still a gland. It's just getting more swollen. Do you have any other medical symptoms right now? Even things that you wouldn't think were connected to the swollen gland could be. For example...a couple of months ago I got a NASTY case of swollen glands, my neck, the back of my head even! Well until I went online and researched them I never knew that they could be caused by canker sores...which I had on my bottom lip at the time! I never would have guessed the two were connected. Sure enough, as the canker healed up the glands went down. I know that it did say that if your glands have been swollen for longer than a week or two that you need to see a doctor. ESpecically if you don't have other noticable symptoms as they CAN be signs of more serious disorders and diseases.
